For a system that is coming to 5 yr old, the price of $123 repair on a $1700 system seems ok to me. It can be cheaper though but if it's fixed then let it be.

Just my 2cents.

hi all,

thanks for all your feedback.

I have not installed it back yet.

The agent told me the warranty is only one month & said that's the industry practice to give only one month warranty...

if they repair without my knowledge, i wont pay.

Supercharged

thats the problem with in-dash unit.... once spoilt, yr repair will be sky high. you either pay for the repair or buy new unit.

its best to get the normal HU. spoilt, just throw and get new one

hi all,

thanks for all your feedback.

I have not installed it back yet.

My 1st concern is that I ask Pin Liang to quote me before repair. And I reminded them to call me before embarking on any repair.

My 2nd concern is that Pin Liang did not mention the total cost of removing & re-installing my in-dash player. (It was the Clarion Agent that told me after he soldered my player is that Pin Liang charges are on Pin Liang's website i.e remove $20 & install $50)

My 3rd concern is that the agent told me the warranty is only one month & said that's the industry practice to give only one month warranty...

My last & main concern is that if Pin Liang is not willing to lower abit their total labour cost of $70, what alternatives do i have?

tks
