It's weird loh....if I am interviewed I would also said I love everything about the country I have adopted.

If Singapore had excused me from 2.5years of wasted lIfe in NS and the 13years of wayang ICT, I would also say I love Singapore.

Just look around us. We are the richest nation (per capital) by a landslide compare to the countries around us (except oil rich Brunei). Of course, its natural, people from the region wanted to come here to earn big bucks. Some more, Government welcome them with open arms with virtually no strings attached.

I don't know about other, but wayang or not, so far, all my ICT are pretty tough, except the combat shoot ICT. You also forgot to mention CMI people like me that is SAF fitness club annual member. [:p]

Grass always greener on the other side?

Its personal preference also. We may think this place is bloody hot. People from cold climate come here, may be happy, can suntan, go beach everyday, bar rainy days, & avoid the inconveniences of winter.

The water in places like the North Atlantic ocean or North Sea can be bloody cold (Just think of Titanic) in the non summer months, & there is only a few quality month for sunbathing & beach.

Also, Singapore, almost everything, shopping, food (especially food) are very accessible, & shops open late. Also a lot of great events like F1, concerts.

When I was in U.K, the radio was upset about "take that" (or don't know which band) not coming to the midland to perform due to no venue of significant quality and size (or something along the line). So if you wanted to see your favorite band perform, you need to travel 100 of miles to London or Manchester ( not to mention the same long journey back).

I mean, there are certainly a lot to like about Singapore, especially in terms of security, & the charm of a major big city, this I will not deny.

But if you are looking for some place quiet, slow pace, maybe cooler. I am not so sure. This is my opinion, to make it clear.

I would think that they asked "Do you love Singapore? If yes, can we interview you?" Would you think that they actually interview FT/FW that hates SG or even have the slightest complaint about anything here?? Even if yes, it would have been edited..

I love Singapore, for no other reason than it's the place where I spent most of my life, I have my wonderful family, friends n memories here. For people who vehemently hate the land they r born n bred in, I feel sad for them. There's nothing worse than not being comfortable in your own skin. Sure, there r some things to dislike about SG, but for a citizen to hate, it's really sad.

whts not to loe comparing singapoe to india?

nobody would wan to stay in a country smell of urine

Oh, don't worry. With the influx of PRCs without any sense of hygiene and locals bereft of civic consciousness, Stinkapore is fast catching up. Not only urine, but poo as well - we're not content with being No. 1, we're No. 2 as well! [rolleyes]

There must be a reason for it

How come so many sporeans hate spore?

On the other hand how come for an example so many new zealanders always say how they love their country?

Can you think of a reason?

You may even live in north korea and say that you love it bcos you grew up there but others might just want to get out of the hell hole. Just different perspectives. That's all. No reason to feel sad.
