Stanley do you need to cable tied the rubber stiffener

When i received the goods, it come with the cable tie in the box, so i just use it.

I think just to make sure it is secure.

finally managed to install the front. Now all 4 wheel come with the stifferner.

Drove around with 2 bros in the forum to test of the effect, very satisfy. While going up the multi storey carpark, forgotten there is hump and bros mentioned it is effective.

over prolonged use of springs , it sure gets softer.even performance coilovers with hard springs got such issues.

so ,

why on earth would someone go do such thing to their ride , installing such things which alters the handling characteristics of the suspension.

worst of all , its held together by a few pieces of cable ties.gosh...

if the springs are soft and the suspension bottoms up .just change to a set of harder springs or replace them with a new set.

dont understand what u mean

its like saying your honda spring no good, change to a lexus one

why do people install mod to enhance their car instead of changing car???

to me, as long i get enhanced performance, good enough, not going to "change to a set of harder springs or replace them with a new set"

"worst of all , its held together by a few pieces of cable ties.gosh"

and its not held together by a few pieces of cable ties, even without ties, you can hardly move it with your hands even if u r very strong as it fit very tightly

u will sweat if u install one without some tips cause it is so tight, that is why so bros go to workshop to let others install for them as they don't know how to install it.

its not like the picture u saw on top, just paste on it.....lol

you just simply dont understand how this thing work or installed

again, i am seeing comments by someone who never tasted some fruits and say the fruit is sour

i also heard comment about china made sound deaderner i bought will melt and flying kite is dangerous as strong wind will blow the person into outer space

[laugh]

ya ya

[wave][wave] depending on usage, some use for making their ride hight higher some us for stiffness. But those effects only last awhile soon you be use to it!

Even for me after lower springs at first it was great, slowly it feels like s--t again. Unless change Ti coil over.

I bought from local wksps, and tried 2 sets on 2 different cars.

Have to tie down to spring, because spring do stretch and this stifferner may unseat partially or drop off.

Some applied WD40 or soapy water to aid in getting the spring into the grooves.

I removed them after a short while.

Did not like it.

Bouncy ride.

My experience

bro rb26dett is right, and i believe he has tasted alot of fruits also to know what's tasty too. [;)]

these 'spring stiffeners' are used in race cars.. similar but it serves a slightly different purpose. they are called bump stops.

people hit bump stops when they run out of suspension travel.

the gaps between the coil wires of the springs serve a good purpose. i wouldn't put anything in between them.

And I concur with you.

The dynamics and mechanism of the suspension of a car is just not that simple.

My car's ride characteristic had changed.

It bounce effect is like ripples.

Looks like your absorbers are gone if your car is bouncing like ripples.

Yea, these type of uncontrolled bouncings can also be worn out shocks.

I got 4 shocks replaced abt 1 year ago.

But it is the elastomer rubber coil spring inserts that caused these out of control bouncings.

Once I removed them, the repetitive bouncing when travelled over uneven roads are ironed out by the absorbers.

I've done these experiment on 2 cars, and the results are the same.

So no more spring bumper stifferners for me.

Thank you.
