Parking etiquette for landed homes

A lot of pple stay in landed no class one. maybe because their porch is too pathetic.

 

condo is typically most expensive in psf than a "landed home" in the same area, so does that answer why

less than 1 mill landed dun get the extra rubbish bin la. lucky my dad buy 1.001 million so they throw in extra bin with the deal. or ur rental tenants kapo ur bin.

oei.. now about 2m valuation hor..... i should have like 10 bins lor

 

anyway talk to your neighbour nicely and see how... he may have his reasons

I have a new neighbour. He refuses to park within his compound and parks his car just outside my place. Now i have no place to park my car cos my dad's car is parked within the compound and i have to park far away all the time(sometimes inadvertently parking in someone else's lot and i get notes on my car etc). So everytime i go to work and come back the car is parked there cos apparently that guy doesnt use his car for work.

 

He has 2 vehicles and refuses to park within his own compound. Sometimes even if his space is unused (in front of his gate) he still parks at my dustbin/letterbox area wtfish right? dun want park in compound, dun park in front of gate, park in front of my place..... buay tahan!

 

no etiquette at all..... How would you guys settle this "dispute"? any other landed owners here have experience dealing with such new neighbours who do not show any parking etiquette? I dun want this to end up like the saga everit road landed saga where the neighbours hamtum each other in newspaper.

 

Pls advise thank you.

 

my fiancee used to have this kinda neighbour.

 

wad i did was park very very near to his gate that he cannot move outta his porch w/o hitting my car. i did that in the morning den drove off in my fiancee's car came back after midnight. so the bugger tio stuck the whole bloody day.

 

after that he nvr park infront of her gate anymore.

he went to knock on my gf's parent's door.

 

they said"oh... they went out liao.." too bad! in the end they said smth like, u all also gt block us until we cannot go out sometimes have to squeeze thru the gate just to walk out.

 

they learnt their lesson and no more bollock

i duno leh... did not attend church that day... but after that incident...

 

now on mass days got cisco to direct traffic... i think i even know which house is it that complain... cuz only got 1 or 2 living there very yaya...

 

 

truth be told... if want stay near church, temple or mosque... you should be mentally prepared to accept these things.... reason why prices are lower too

Why not just park at his space?

If he confronts you, just say some "kuku" is parking at the space outside your house.

Very simple, since he parked infront of your hse, so u just park urs infront of his hse lor.

Just speak to that guy, then see what is his reaction, maybe he used to doing that in his previous house. My place also, 2nd unit from the dead end of the road, left and right neighbour park total of 6 cars outside the small little road. My home only got 1 space to park outside, so LL my family park 2 cars inside compound and 1 outside while they all park outside.

TS, these are public lots (LTA is the boss).

Doesnt mean empty spcae in front of your house means you are the only person that can park.

As long as the car is not blocking you from coming out of your house, i dont see anything wrong with it.

 

Write in and complain LTA and ask them to draw double yellow line
