Just take a look at Jurong East MRT, they removed all the stone seats on the platform and put signs, saying 'Please keep clear of escalator landing area' as there is hardly space to stand in peak hours!

Got photo. Long time never take MRT liao. [:p]

AGree on MRT no enough, just like floods, PUB & MRT both need to be more aggressive in numbers forecast. If they can paint stupid olympic logos on the road which was TOTALLY POINTLESS & overrun budget by mega millions, they can easily speed up more MRT stations.

actually i don't find olympic logos on road to be stupid.

In fact, i would prefer them to lacquer and repaint them frequently. :)

Tourist will find it interesting when the road has been onced travelled by young olympians....

But don't think tourism board recognise the hidden value of such...

Wait, there are some clowns who will come in here and try to tell us that the MRT system is just fine as it is. [laugh]

double decked mrt is a crazy idea

i think they should instead allow for trains longer than the stations, that would be far safer

den station must elongate to suit mrt length, otherwise more safety error like opening wrong section of doors & jostling of passengers to alight first at "first section" of long train.

increasing freq of train arrival at peak / crowded hours & installing safety distance sensor w existing monitoring system i think would be better option.

next crazy idea - construct multi-layer road / e'way or go underground.
