If you're getting Android, you might wanna wait for the Google Nexus S. Its using the upcoming Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Else if you're in a rush for a new phone, I would recommend HTC for Android phones. I have never liked Korean phone brands anyways. [;)]

if you dont know how to make up your mind on the type of andriod you want to buy and need to ask in the forum. just go for Apple. it wont go wrong. cause only 1 design. dont need to think what you need the phone to do what. hence do not need to think of the type of model you need.

Depends on your usage as well as how tech savvy you are. Any clues on the former???

I also like widgets instead of having to open an app just to check stuff.

Currently on LG Optimus one, still abit laggy but its ok. I suggest you wait awhile as LG is coming out with LG optimus 2X. Specs are very impressive with Andriod 2.3. I believe it would be good. If you really wanna get now, either Iphone 4 or Galaxy S, but make sure its preloaded with Andriod 2.2

Like someone has mentioned before, it really depends on your usage. If you are looking for more out of your mobile device. E.g. Looking into music player as well, iphone is the way to go. The pros and cons pretty much depends on yourself.

But nevertheless, I am more for the Iphone4. It not for no reasons, that Iphone4 make Apple rulez Microsoft. Easy to use, wide selections of applications out there.

Downside is the short battery life and the need to use iTunes to sync your stuff.

I have never tried an Android so no comments on that :) Cheers

I have used galaxy s 2.2 and its really laggy. But other than that It's superb. Currently using HTC desire hd. Abit clumsy to hold and use. Cos the whole phone is big and slippery (metal body). And the screen is huge! Loving the phone since the day I bough it. In terms of apps, iPhone is the best. But lots of restrictions like using itunes. Of cos u can jailbreak but let's just talk abt out of the box. Battery life would be pretty similar. Smoothness and lagginess is same. No lag at all. And of cos, Android supports full flash in its browser! I like iPhone too. But I prefer Android.

For me, I will choose Android. Less common, more devices to choose from, have live widgets, totally customisable. IPhone only win in apps department.

Just my opinion.

my vote go to HTC Desire HD.... very well build and android 2.2 [thumbsup]

Do get some user feedback before commiting on Desire HD, I have heard some user feedback that the battery life is not as good as Desire, and lower capacity too.
