Boost FM signal

I recently installed a china made HU and the radio reception is not very good. Was wondering if there are signal boosters which I can install to help improve the reception.

Changing to another HU is not an option.

Change the antenna on your car

Place your antenna as far away from the engine as possible

Install a signal booster to the radio or amplifier to increase its range

Mount any booster or amplifier you install as far away from the antenna as you can

Find the best place on your vehicle to route the cables connecting these devices. This can vary depending on the vehicle, but keep them away from the engine,

Make sure your antenna's ground is in the best spot possible. See that the metal spot you use (usually on the chassis) has no paint or corrosion at the exact location. Coat the exposed metal area with silicone glue or grease after grounding the wire to prevent corrosion and oxidation.

I'm also looking at changing my Camry's rear screen antenna to an external antenna.

Any good shops to recommend & approx how much will it cost?

I have been getting lousy FM reception on the stock Headunit & it got worst when I installed solar films.

I tried changing to an aftermarket Headunit & I managed to get FM channels from M'sia & Batam but

there's still plenty of noise/distortion when I drive along BKE.

The weird thing is that I get almost perfect FM reception when I'm inside my MSCP [:(]

ask the relevant authorities to change the way FM signals are transmitted

i have been asking them to change for past 20 years

i think all else, they are waiting for it to kaput before changing

as of now the equipment has already depreciated so much that now everything else is considered profit

perhaps someone more powerful can write in

Whats there to change? The digital radio infrastructure is there already, maybe you should ask the AD's to make sure their cars come with digital radio head units.

our local FM infrastructure is good enough, it depends the design of the radio tuner as well as antenna.

My stock radio and built-in diversity antenna give me a very good reception......hardly can hear any distorsion...

i understand from relevant experts that the digital radio infrastrcture is in but they did not take account the changing skyline with tall and fat building that partially block the radio signal when one travels by
