How come the religion is so strict, yet go so many out of wedlock and beating cases.

Do you really think many MALAYs really follow ISLAM strictly now? I realised that mosques have huge decrease in the congregation population nowadays.. Somemore, this looks like shotgun case AND NOT related in early marriage.. I condone early marriage, to avoid SINs but ONLY if the couple is matured enough... Young doesn't mean immatured... Normally this kind of cases, they don't have even basic religious knowledge, even if they do, they don't practise... Anyway, Malays always have mentality problem... I am ashamed of having Malay stated in my IC...

I love them also but sometimes the rage just boil over faster than my logic. of course the "lesson" will not be to the extent of causing perm damage but I want to stop my hand from being raised at all. My youngest just got one jia lak jia lak one from me 2 weeks ago. she is still as loving as before after the punishment and will always come to me for protection whenever she is bullied but i just want to reduce (better still, zeroise) my rage before logic. I am usually a very logical person.

Best of luck bro.

Hopefully you can train your logic to take over your emotions.

When my daughter dropped my 3 days old iPad my first concern is whether she dropped it on her foot.

Then I realised how stupid I was to let her hold it because it was so cute.

My own fault.

Pretty much the same with the car and laptop.

Most of the time I realised that the adult needs to take more responsibility than the child since we are in control, they are not.

Matter of perspective.

Turn around and walk the opposite direction.

Flashes of anger seldom last for more than 5 seconds before reason kicks in.

But I've already ingrained in my mind that nothing material is ever more important than my kids.

Didn't bat an eyelid when my daughter put a key to my car door, dropped my brand new iPad on the floor or pour her orange juice over my laptop.

wow you made me feel bad

2 days ago i whack my kids with my belt

simply becos their values have eroded. Just to go those video hosting sites and you can see many many clips of them engaging in some ehem... "hanky panky".

haha... i know how u feel, my younger son very mischievous one, always misbehave but i will let him be unless he is going to hurt himself or others, then i will come in hard on him. most of the time scold him is enough to make him cry. then he will come n cuddle me like asking for forgiveness [grouphug]
