Jj5599 1st Gear December 23, 2010 Share December 23, 2010 I am not going to, where to find $72k cash? On top of that, many other incidental expenses for car ownership.

SimonTan 2nd Gear December 23, 2010 Share December 23, 2010 You raised a very good questions. With the high COE expected to continue into 2011. Those 10years old cars will not likely to be renewed. Same goes for those 10years old Goods vehicle.

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear December 23, 2010 Share December 23, 2010 I believe not many would renew expiring COE (money not enough). I also believe the existing cars with renewed COE would die a natural death upon expiry

This is right. Lta will refund the remaining coe value when scrap. I think the problem is more forking out the huge amount for coe renewal at the moment. I think the problem is more forking out the huge amount for coe renewal at the moment. or we go back to "stone age" again. meaning 1 litre & below car will be popular again, like in the late 80's to 90's...Charade, Starlet, Swift. Camrysfa Turbocharged August 1, 2012 Share August 1, 2012 haha.....time to revisit this since COE prices in all Cats are having fits, Toyota Altis, Madza 3 is old model, Honda Civic is super expensive, and not keen on MIK Elantra! 1998cc Rd Tax $12xx $28,XXX OMV $18,XXX MIN PARF REG W/ CAT E COE, $31,XXX COE EXP IN JUL 2013 For above case, what is the best option: 1. Dragonfly1 1st Gear August 1, 2012 Share August 1, 2012 Whats wrong with pre-owned car?? Can find lots of examples less than 50k mileage n few years lifespan. Why let gov suck up more $$$$? If u can afford to pay all in cash like china man than go ahead, otherwise save your money can be better spend elsewhere rather than taking 10 years loan..... haha.....time to revisit this since COE prices in all Cats are having fits, Toyota Altis, Madza 3 is old model, Honda Civic is super expensive, and not keen on MIK Elantra! 1998cc Rd Tax $12xx $28,XXX OMV $18,XXX MIN PARF REG W/ CAT E COE, $31,XXX COE EXP IN JUL 2013 For above case, what is the best option: 1.
