13177 Hypersonic December 21, 2010 Share December 21, 2010 Agreed. If u think your battery is going to die, u might as well change the battery before it totally went flat.

Unfair 3rd Gear December 21, 2010 Share December 21, 2010 oh.... u r right Unless you are pretty hands on kind of person, you can consider leaving the new batt in the car to change out. Remember you might lose your car settings like radio stations if you anyhow change

Mona-vie 1st Gear December 22, 2010 Share December 22, 2010 Not recommended. this is because even maintenance free batts have finite lifespan. thus, buy only if you need to. No point buying to keep.

Mona-vie 1st Gear December 22, 2010 Share December 22, 2010 Anyone knows what is the proper procedure of DIY? I don't know but I just remove the terminals, install new batt and screw back the terminals. It will also reset the ecu (if yours is stock) and clock etc. If do not want that to happen you need to use jump start cable to maintain power connection. Breadandwater April 3, 2011 Share April 3, 2011 If you do, you need a trickle charger to recharge it once in a while. Also put the battery on a rubber mat, not directly on the floor. Battery acid can eat the floor. Also floor could drain the battery faster.

Jeuda Clutched April 8, 2011 Share April 8, 2011 Can fetch it along in the boot since no one knows when the current one would fail. Can swop them once in a while There will be tell tale signs... like mine, starting issues. Meters acting strange, needles went back down and up again during start. After changing new batt, it went away.
