The only time I saw this in here was during the Peninsular Plaza robbery where it seems like whatever police vehicles available were activated. I was a schoolboy at that time and saw 2 FRCs making a hand-brake turn at the Queensway/Commonwealth junction with their sirens blaring.

Could be the same one I saw over 2 decades ago. The chase was quite long, and it just went a few round from Q/way, to C'wealth Ave, etc....

Can't really blame them, theirs is one officer to one squad car where in SG, 10 officers to one van ........
