Why Do So Many Cars Need BBKs???

Seriously, I don't quite understand. I seen several cars having Brembo (mostly Brembo lar) BBKs. Then I see their rear brakes.... WTF.... Drum brakes??

Whats the point of using Brembo brakes for the front and your rear is drum brake? You will create such a big brake imbalance. I did use Brembo 4 pots before with 325mm rotors front but stock rear and I lock up my front on hard braking (cause no ABS). It really sucks. I believe ABS should that but whats the point with ABS kicking in all the time?

Then whats worse is that they use big Calipers (all looks like 4 pot brakes) but the rotors are very small. Caliper look so big but rotors so small? For what?

those are brake cover only, take a close look next time and u will notice the original metal caliper cover is hidden under the red BREMBO cover......

fake covers?

I don't know. Cause I don't look at them close up. But some do look fake to me. Give them benefit of doubt, I assume they are real ones. But I just wonder whats the point?

I heard that is more dangerous if u put on the brake cover on.. Since u need to drill hole in order to put up the cover..

You know nowadays many taxi like to step brake.

Its better to have the best set up so that the car can stop in time behind the taxi.

The cost of BKK how much? $2-3k?

It pays for itself, if it can save u from banging into a taxi just once!

Always be prepared.
