For Adoption: Terrapin

Hi guys,

 

I found a terrapin trying to cross the Penang Road today and I decided to save it from being crushed by vehicles.

 

Its quite big, about palm size.

 

Anyone interested to adopt it please pm me.

 

Otherwise, i might release it somewhere and let it be.

Put in reservoir or east coast the pond there. Should not be a problem for them to survive

If no one adopts it, put it in a place like Bedok Reservoir or the man-made ponds at East Coast Park, like Galantspeedz said. Don't put it in any of the Central Catchment Area reservoirs like MacRitchie, as those are more important nature conservation areas and this species is in fact not native and can cause lots of damage to the more delicate and specialized wildlife in those areas.

Good-sized population of fish and enough water plants (these turtles are omnivores, eating both plants and other small creatures they can catch). Also, families with kids sometimes bring bread to feed them. It'll be a dream home for it

got three ponds there and the fish are over-populated... need more turtles (terrapins) to control them

Ok. Just release the terrapin near the pond at Seng Kang park.

 

It was apprehensive at first but started running towards the the pond for a dip.

 

Hope it'll lead a good life there and stay away from roads.
