Folks,

Getting old and can feel that health starts to fall apart. First it was heel spur, then followed by occasional kneel cap discomfort and now could feel the pain of heart burn and acid reflux.

This heartburn sensation has started to bug me more frequently than it used to. If you folks happen to know of any effective remedies which work well for you, would appreciate your sharing. Is there any off-the-counter supplements/medicines which we could buy at Guardian?

*Sigh* Looks like it's time for me to start preparing a will.

same problem.

control mine with medication...

omeprazole or famotin should help...

in addition, i realised that cutting down carbs helps immersely... ever since i went on no carb diet... i more or less stop having gastric reflux... previously i have to be on daily medication

had same problem related to GERD, watch your diet.

the knee cap thing I had it 5 years ago that was quite serious, but stopped for past 3 years with occasional intake of glucosamine (not long term).

Yeah...talking about carbohydrates, I should really cut down on the intake of rice.

And probably reduce on coffee too. Everything adds up.

I also have gastric issues and the problem usually surfaces in the late afternoon and sometimes at night (heartburn).

So now I have a small tea break at around 4pm - 430pm, cos I usually lunch at 12 and dinner at 8pm.

And just an hour before zzz will have another light night snack.

But if boh pian need to take medicine I find Hydrosil works for me.

go for endoscopy test...its not painful...i have done it...cost about $138 under subsidised rate at CGH.

doc found out that my spincster is not closing tight so food will escape causing indigestion and breathless if i overeat.

the spincster is like our anal hole...close tight when no poo poo, relax when u need to poo.

to close the spincster tight, doc prescribed me domperidone although i find librax works better for me.
