Splash water on it when it's hot is inevitable right? I mean it's norm during raining day driving right?

Mcf777 Turbocharged December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 (edited) i used mama lemon to wash rims and tyres. no problem for so many years. maybe my rims are matt silver colour. so cant see any differences. i find it the "best shampoo" to clear away brake dust easily. TS, is it dirt stain or is it peel-off? If dirt stain, just buy those rim polishing cream to polish it off (maybe try braso or auto-sol). It may kill the coating(if there is any) on the rims.
Bandotcom Neutral Newbie December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 Is this rim below the fuel tank inlet? If so.. its may caused by overflow petrol when you top-up to the brim.

SimonTan 2nd Gear December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 (edited) Wait a minute, the two photos are of different rims! Definately its strong chemical damage. Maybe the detailer use super strong chemical to wash your rims? Cannot be petrol spill as two wheels was damaged (From your photos). Sport rims are cheap....$100 per piece can get. Roberttan 5th Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 it looks like you car went through some form of chemical war? next time just use normal detergent or soap powder to wash will do. also some of this is also possible caused of this : wrong washing agent /poor rim quality/ aniaml urin/ petrol spilled anyway those looks does not affect your safety. ↡ Advertisement
