Krado Clutched December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 But no $$ to buy Alfa with current COE prices. Or Holden for that matter. don't worry there's the Aveo5 and Cruze... just pretend its a Holden... its the same car anyway. ↡ Advertisement

Krado Clutched December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 The ford I6 turbo falcon shits all over a v8 holden, and that's the truth. Yeah, until it explodes into component level...
Sllee1974 Neutral Newbie December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 the sound is good, right?.... some say it can make you climax........ the deep rumbles of an V8 sounds good compared with the high rev screams we hear from some fast rides here..... it's also different from that of the V10 or V12 of the exotic eg lambo or ferraris.... just different... Proton_neutron 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 (edited) oh ya.... the 300C SRT-8 didn't caught on because of the 6.2V8 engine cc and mad fuel consumption.... that car is selling at $220k though i think.... BITURBO Neutral Newbie December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 since historically, the muscle car was supposed to be high performance (large V8 engines) yet affordable...so that it appeals to the younger driver.... now in year 2010 in Singapore, at 330k, don't think it is affordable to young nor older drivers... ended up, only the super rich and super enthusiasts might get this ride...hope i know one of them... KARTer 2nd Gear December 3, 2010 Share December 3, 2010 these aussie cars are also terribly detuned due to the massive lack of maintenance that these cars will face. you're right, to the an aussie, his car is just a tool to get from A2B, not so much a status thingy.... ie many owners just use it paying minimal attention to maintenance. If the engine konks out, just replace it with a recon engine (1-to-1 exchange). I have driven an 10-yr old Holden, it's really rugged: despite oil leaks (gotta add oil every few days) i didnt bother to repair it until 2 years later the motor (aussie's term for 'engine') konked out, the workshop swapped in a recon engine within a day, and off I went.................. btw, I bought the 10-yr old Holden for less than S$7k, its really spacious inside: i almost couldnt reach the passenger's front door handle from the driver's seat.......... ↡ Advertisement
