Actually I think majority of S'porean are sado masochist. They like getting screwed. 1 yr Gov give goodies, next 3-4 years pay back Gov goodies + interest. Still vote in the same people next election. [rifle][rifle]

Getting themselves screwed is ok because they ask for it but to pass the screw to thier sons and grandsons is sheer stupidity

Well, they are certainly not doing it for free.

Son already said it so clearly : NO FREE LUNCH!!!

Fact is, they are drawing as much as the Son.

As in your statement : Do we need so many PMs to run our tiny island???

Haiz....

"TT Dubai" got such a high salary as he is able to generate enough funds for the company.

This gives them a clear example that when the market is down, we need to be paid more therefore able to commit the market not to slide further down. Therefore, more work for us :D .

When market is up, the fruits of our labour needs to be harvest.

actually we taxpayers are carrying a heavy burden on our shoulders to pay so many SMs, so many DyPMs, and for every MP and minister who manages to serve more than 2 terms we also pay them permanent fat pensions (correct me if this is not correct) for the rest of their lives.......... this is where our hardearned $$ goes.... but the question is:- Is our life getting much better while theirs is??.... I am not too sure.
