Shewerly the insurance company will only pay on production of invoice from doctor or whatever.

No money will go to claimant.

i know someone who successfully claimed around 20k-30k for a fake neck injury, excluding medical bills.

and i can tell u he is not the only one.....

Yeah, my friends in bike accident manage to claim 4k cash for some fracture, though the medical bill was less than $500.

that's why i always said :

Whether you are injured or not, during an accident, just call 995 and report here/there not feeling well.

In this way, those ambulances crew will also check on the others driver/passengers.

my ex girlfriend got a bruised kneecap when she was involved in a motorcycle and car accident.

she claimed 10k for the bruise, not serious at all, and his friend got 30k for a injured left leg.

the lawyer even got the cheek to ask her friend to fake neck injury or chest pain, which he did not, otherwise i believe will be more.

my ex colleague claimed 15k for neck injury years ago. so its not that uncommon/impossible for such frivolous claims.

This is new to me.

Can't say I've read about being able to claim for 'pain and suffering' in Insurance T & C.

20k for pain and suffering.

How is that estimated ffs.

iirc,

you can claim specific damage - repair, medical bills incurred due to accident

and general damage - for pain and suffering for injury.

if injury cause loss of income due to impairment, disability i think also claimable...

Heh. Thats why one shouldnt say insurance company will never lose. [laugh]

we have about 1 million cars on the road.

eg. 1 car insure about average $700. that's $700 000 000 per year of revenue!!!

I don see how they can lose $. No one will operate a $ losing company.

Hi bro how are you.

Didnt know this will turn out to be a demerit points case..... [shakehead]

Usually this type of case you will only get a stern warning letter from TP. Quite unlikely to get demerit points or fines.

If you find the injuries sustained is nonsensical, fight for it. I'm fighting one case now. Kissed a taxi because he jammed brakes on the right most lane (nothing in front), at that point of time no damages at all, not even a single scratch. I would say it's about 3-6km/h impact. He say sua, then suddenly police report, same as yours came in.

And all the claims suddenly came in, with pictures also. Showed damages no where near the one I took that day. My insurance co reject the claims because I have pictures of the undamaged taxi in hand. Then Comfortdelgro decided to play smart and issue me writ of summon, forwarded it to my insurance co. and they decide to fight for me too. Was advised to report the case to CPIB too.
