fb is a great social tool. unfortunately, its revealed the ugliness of man. the vanity that people thrive on turns me off. i dont care about your new car, the U2 concert you attended in brazil or the World cup final you watched live. really, just stop trying too hard.

things i can't stand on facebook:

1) couples who leave intimate messages for each other on their walls... ffs pick up the phone and talk. some even live together.... whats wrong talking face to face?

2) people who post pics for every single thing they do... even grocery trips....not to mention holidays. A 'friend' would post 100+ pics for a night out. Don't think she enjoyed it as she was too busy taking pics

3) show-offs and their subtle pics/status updates.. yeah yeah we get it you can afford it, no need for a hundred pics of it

4) parents who go on and on about how their tots are overachieving at their age and will be mankind's saviour

5) emos and their status updates - forever hurting inside, seeking sympathy

eg John is deeply hurt

Friend A what happened?

John dont want to talk about it

Then why the f*** do u mention it?

based on the above i've deleted lots of 'friends'

You have posted what was on my mind...Except I just hide those post that fulfil the above criterion..ESP 1) and 3)..

Facebook is for people trying to keep up with friends whom they don't want to meet in person.

facebook is for people who like to boast of their achievements in a subtle way like posting pictures of them going to exotic places and describing the stuff they experience. One click and all your friends will get it. Free publicity.

Facebook is for people who think they thoughts and expressions are worthy of the limelight but frankly who gives a damn ?

Facebook is for people who thinks having 10,000 friends and contacts makes them very popular.

Sorry , not trying to be rude here. FB maximum only 5000 friends

Cheers [;)] [;)] [;)]

apparently he was trying to create a formula to tabulate his property rental income and less tax etc etc

told me he was a former senior manager w BP, retired for more than 20 years !!

Neutral Newbie

hmm why are you wasting your time and posting here?

u should be living off some isolate island...

:D

I have got no FB account.

Firstly, I am not interested to know what my old friends are doing or where are they. I also don't need new friends. More friends in contact often means more trouble.

Secondly I don't think they are interested to know about my life too. My life is private anyway.

Thirdly, I don't need another platform to get myself distracted and waste my time. Time is too precious to be wasted on checking out what friends are doing.

So I don't understand what the hell FB is useful for.
