Laluan Baru Ke Singapura Dibuka Mulai 26 Nov JOHOR BAHARU: Penggunaan laluan keluar masuk jangka pendek ke Singapura di Bangunan Sultan Iskandar di sini akan dihentikan secara berperingkat mulai 26 November. Laluan dua lorong sepanjang 2.1km yang digelar "Trek F1" kerana keadaannya yang berpusing-pusing itu akan digantikan dengan laluan baru jangka pertengahan sepanjang 1.2km yang mempunyai empat lorong yang lurus. Wakil Jawatankuasa Lalulintas kompleks Kastam, Imigresen dan Kuarantin itu dan juga ketua bahagian Trafik dan Ketenteraman Awam IPK Johor Supt T. Raveendran berkata, satu sesi percubaan akan diadakan pada Selasa depan bagi kenderaan jenis bas, kereta dan motosikal yang masuk ke Tambak Johor pada 26 November dan laluan itu akan digunakan terus pada 29 November. Sesi itu akan diadakan pada 23 Nov selama sejam bermula 10 pagi untuk mengenalpasti sebarang kelemahan, katanya kepada pemberita di sini, Jumaat. Laluan baru tersebut akan terus digunakan keesokkan harinya dan laluan yang sedia ada akan ditutup pada hari yang sama. Laluan baru akan dibuka sepenuhnya kepada semua kenderaan dari arah Tambak Johor mulai 13 Jan tahun depan. Menurut Raveendran pembukaan laluan baru itu akan membolehkan lori keluar dan masuk Johor Baharu dan Woodlands, Singapura melalui Bangunan Sultan Iskandar. Seramai 20 petugas trafik akan ditempatkan di beberapa lokasi strategik bagi memastikan kelancaran lalulintas di laluan baru itu.
