Yup, newer model with 5 speed but not the latest with cruise control even for the 2.0 version.

i guess my 5-speeder gives me an edge over ur 4-speeder....

i think i always surpass 523km when light came on [:p]

My record on V-Power was 647km before light came on (11km/ltr)... but it was a one-off....... 95/5000 able to achieve 10km/l consistently when i do something like 80highway/20city...

the other thing is cruising at 70/80km/h vs 100km/h make a diff as well...... t

pls let us know if u can break ur record

Wonder why higher octane fuel will give better mileage. I've always pumped ron95 and so far happy with it in terms of mileage return. Is it proven scientifically that higher octane fuel better mileage return?

haha...cannot compare my to your stock.....just the rims size alone kills my consumption

Right now....1/4 tank clocks in at 214km. But this tank am not driving cautiously.

anyway for me as long as hit 500km above I happy liao :) just want to enjoy my ride

Any bros here has a workshop contact in JB for tyres?

I am curious about this .. Malaysia is a Rubber producer and they imposed high duties on imported products with rubber content. I am not sure whether tyres especially the imported ones are cheaper in Malaysia. My BIL also buys his tyres in JB as well and my Malaysian friends told me Malaysians prefer to buys tires in Singapore.

so guys, is it a myth or truth tt running with a 3/4 to full tank gives better mileage?

for my case, my '06 sp 2.0 can also hit 200km easily for the 1st quarter. didnt try to pump petrol before when it still 3/4 full. but if everybody can confirm tt if pump at 3/4 full, only needs 16l of petrol (in terms of proportionality of full tank being at 64l), it will equate to a fc of 12.5km/l! sounds a bit too good to be true, yes.

and i bliv it shd be common for everyone to experience super fast burn-off of petrol for the last 1/4. needle drops fast, the trip comm also shows a faster decrease in remaining mileage compared to actual mileage done. i used to think that this is because most petrol tank is funnel-shape. so the needle does not drop linearly. therefore, if say when the needle shows 3/4 full tank, and one can actually squeeze in 20l, instead of 16l, then this "hypothesis" will be a myth, bcos e fc is still at the standard 10km/l.. haha..

I don't know if it's a myth or truth. I think it could be both. So far, whenever I refuel when the needle is pointed straight at the 3/4 mark, I can only squeeze in about 15lits of fuel. That's why I posted a few of my readings earlier to share. the maths are correct.

Maybe the made in Msia tyres are affordable. Agree that imported tyres should be more costly. Will head in over the weekend to ask around.

Neutral Newbie

I think the tank a little deceiving.

For 1st quater, I'm doing about 250-300km, and can squeeze in about 25litres.

That's a v big portion considering the tank is about only 65litres. And it's the 3/4 mark
