MAZDA 6

Hi S2s1,

Finally found suitable door seal for the gap between the front fender and front door for my forester.

Not perfect but the same idea that I observed on S class and 7 series but with designated plastic holder and flaps.

Yet to try on the mazda but 1 mentioned aliexpress order is good for 1.5 car but will see if I can get more sturdy Jap ones of same design:

Cheers,

Richard

So silent that when he runs over pedestrians, he can't hear them scream...

Doubt the suspensions good enough to the point he can't feel the bump however... :D

Looking at buying at 2nd hand mazda 6. Is the warranty and service credit transferable to me?

Yes for warranty. Not sure for service credits. But it should follow the car rather than the owner.

Hi, i knocked my left side mirror against a pillar and the opening/closing mechanism is now not working properly although rest of mirror functional. Can recommend any workshop that can fix this or need to go back to agent? Thanks.

Brox just sharing. My old Mazda 3 was knock by passer-by and bent outward since then when mirror retract it has kiak kiak kiak sound. Mechanic mentioned they don't fix the mirror, it's better that change the whole mirror. Was quoted by TEK close to 400 but after market is only 180. But because my car was too old at that time, so I chosen to deactivate the both side and my mirror will never fold back. But the mirror inside still can be adjusted. So, if you like to fix it, perhaps change a new mirror at outside workshop is better choice. In FB mazda group, ppl always recommend JDM Autocare, they do alot of mazda car. Get a quote and compare with TEK. Hope these help.

Bought a few accessories from lazada/aliexpress DIY.

Nice accessories. I like the antiscratch at the door step.

Is not to do any advertisement, but experience sharing.

I using sandisk high endurance 64gb with the blaupunkt 9.0 car cam.

It works quite OK, not hang up the camera. It should be compatible after 1 wk testing.

However, when i play back the video, it is still clear but the video kind of "jerking".

It doesnt really bother me too much as long it still record. Not sure if other bros seen this.

But people who considering upgrade the default 16gb to this, please take note. :)

I have also added a rubber strip along the trunk to prevent rubbish and small leaves to slip in the gap. Seems to fit nicely.

Bro Edwin, may i know which type of rubber you using for your boot?

Z or D type? Is there any length you recommend?

I realized this gap is too big, and if small leaf branch drop it create a very squeaky noise at the back seat.

Thank!

Does your scuff plates go on the outer metal or inner plastic part of the door ? I’m looking for the latter but unable to find so far.
