Managed to connect to online update for MZD GPS map. There is no update for my current version, map version 2017Q4 southeast Asia. MZD GPS is not bad, although some new places cannot be located on the map.

How does this update work? 

 

I'm currently not so keen on the apple and android car play thanks to the crazy exorbitant price so if the current MZD GPS map upgrades are reasonable and easy to do, i will not really mind

It is relatively easy. Take out the SD card from your car with you, then you need to download the Mazda toolbox (search Mazda GPS map update). Once installed on your computer, the toolbox will ask you to insert your SD card, then it will take a while to recognize the SD card. The SD card contains some information from your car. You will need to register an account, and after that, you can click the list of updates. Anytime, you can also click the map version you have on the SD card.

It's 120800 for the 2.5L premium ,with 1.88% interest rate, think no where else can find such low interest, can be a few thousand diff from a total loan perspective.

 

ARF is about 27500+ so total without loan interest is about 11k a year depre if drive 10 years, with interest (depending on your loan amount) about 12k...not extremely low but not high, quite nominal I think.

 

Comes standard freebies like rikecool solar film, blankunpt BP9 front n rear in car cam, brila coating, some discount card with 2 free gold class tickets

 

But this is don't have 5 years warranty and 5 years servicing, comes with 3 years warranty and 1 year servicing.

 

The SE is a nice guy, nicely followed up, no pressuring.

The standard price comes with 5years warranty and 5 years servicing also the standard pricing has a 4k trade in. Other than that same.

 

The offer already has the 4k deducted so net is about 10k+ if want to compare price apple to apple as the additional warranty and service is about 3.4k which can be opt out from standard pricing,

 

Just to add on, standard pricing all trade in discount and opt out of extended warranty and service was told will be offset from DP, so loan is still based on list price to calculate.

 

Offer price is direct discount off, so loan is based on the 120800 not 138800.

This impact total interest paid.

 

Nonetheless its good value from my perspective.

 

I wanted the luxury mod but only 1 unit left and just miss that at 123800

 

They hv event and test drive units and also new stock 2 boards in showroom. Think clearing stock and was asked to signed form to allow them to used open cat... Perhaps they have old OPEN cat coe need to dispose as it expires 6 months

 

I look at the lowest coe for the past 6 months is 30851,a few k less than Jan, so minimal impact on paper value is that is a concern even if given the lowest since Aug 2018.

The car stops i-stop after 8 seconds even though my car remains stationary.

Many parameters determine whether the engine should start even if car is stationary, e.g if the ECU think the electrical system needs more juice, e.g. From car audio amp and especially aircon... Then it will start up to power up alternator etc etc

 

This is what I found out from other start stop system think istop should fundamentally be similar

As I mentioned in the follow up post... Its a about 10k diff not 18k to level up for comparison in a fairer manner.

 

It's a list of stocks, there is event and test car stocks and new car stocks list in the showroom..

 

Didn't really bargain.. As I find the trade in is OK, not fantastic, within 1k what audi and BMW offer, only Lexus offer the highest...

 

Taking the positive balance from trade in, for me the final net is a 9k plus depre... So just take the offer..

 

Both seller and buyer happy can liao, SE also need to earn living...

 

Find the built is good, can even match up with some conti. Design also most European among the Japan brands.

great deal. they recently heavily discounting the mazda6. I got my 2.0 std at a great deal too. just collected my car two days back and loving every bit of it!

I have made a few combinations to test it out.

 

Seems like my current AC configuration is not able to run i-Stop.

 

Once I set it to Eco mode and Auto, it was able to maintain the i-Stop easily over 1 and a half minute or longer.

 

I guess I will have to live with it.

Does anyone here drive a 2.5 Mazda 6 with 360 view? Is it useful? A bit regret not getting it and wondering if anyone can install the camera for 360 view?

Mine has the 360; I think it is helpful especially in the beginning when I switched from my smaller Honda over to Mz 6 which is longer and wider; used to have to check side and rear view mirror constantly when reversing into parking lot but now relying more on the 360... not sure if it is a good thing though cos my next car might not have 360....the camera is also on when moving forward when activated so it is also good when manoeuvring the tight areas like going up ramp at Liang Court
