Hi Budgetice,

Got it and fully understandable for some bros.

Good thing is only 3 yrs warranty and I can show TEK the schematics of such disable SS module that basically act as a automated switch but sure, their call.

There is also no such thing as blanket void of warranty and sure, no more warranty to SS button but no chance on me to void this 3 yrs warranty of HU, gearbox, engine, suspension etc..etc. but think you got my point else you have to accept plugging in your phone charger void warranty of your HU, engine, gearbox etc.

Btw, MI for my forester is more stringent and do swing by the threads on my mods, continued sign up of MI's service package and also claim of bearing with arguably associated big 6/4 bbk, rims, tyres etc.

Cheers.

Richard

Good luck with TEK

Will change of rims and braking kits really void the warranty? I just sent my mazda 3 for servicing less than 2 months ago and they didnt even comment about that.

Fyi, my front and rear dash cam is not installed by their authorised vendor too.

Hi Soul,

In theory not only AD but insurers also can find fault if they want to.

In such cases, bearing may not be claimable since arguably associated part but no blanket void of warranty ... if your HU or engine leaks, you would not accept that eurokar does not provide warranty repair right ??

Even change of tyres to say broader width can auguably wears out bearing since more contsct and stress on bearing .. lol !

For insurers, best if you declare but be prepared that they do not take your application or pay some premium .. dunno how each insurer handle these exception.

Unless detailed investigation due to fatality or fire etc. are conducted, it would be ok ... I claimed 17k few years back from NTUC for my estima with bbk, rim, tyres etc. and a lot more.

Cheers.

Richard

Good luck with TEK

Hi Budgetice,

Thanks .. I will take my chance.

3 yrs later and no warranty anyway .. lol !

Cheers.

Neutral Newbie

Hi guys,

Driving the 2015 Sep model. Has anyone installed lower springs with tyre size 245/40R19? Any issue with hitting the fenders? With and without passengers.

Any must-have features in mz6 2L that executive has that standard doesnt?

The difference is about 9k and the omv for executive is >20%, hence 40% downpayment is required. Trying to assess if its really worth the extras.

Hi Soul,

Frankly not worth it ...features as they are .. only good to have and so called up selling for more $ for seller.

Nevertheless, I booked the executive cos CO wish for bsm and already dumb for 100k+ standard and dumbx2 for another 9k makes no difference to me collected cpf and dun need golden coffin.

Cheers.

For the same or lower depreciation, not a good deal at all to buy resale.

My neighbour just bought the new M6 2.0 Exec for $107,800 - depre 9.65 k/yr. Some used ones are going as high as 9.9 k/yr dep, not sure how low will be considered a good deal.

Typically a 2nd hand will come good if your are :

1. Short of cash, especially you can't fulfill the down-payment and need to loan a big portion of money.

2. Short of cash again... You can fulfill the down-payment but no extra cash to pay more... Theoretically, 2nd hand car are much lower than new car. Hence, lesser loan and interest.

3. The model is coming to EOL. Like the current Mz6, new model is coming... What's the point of paying top money for a out-going model... You may say the face-lift just reach us.... Yes... it's just a face-lift....

4. You change car every 3-5 years. What's the point buying a new car when you know you going to change car every 3-5 years? The low depr in the new car only WORKS if you drive FULL 10 years!
