Hi All.

Anyone who is in the same scenario like me?
I booked my Mazda 6 during the Motorshow in January, on 8 NG Bids.
Converted to 5 G Bids in March as recommended by SE after the Budget.
Yesterday was the 4th bid already and still couldn't secure. Haiz.

Actually if they guarantee they will have to deliver.

They may actually give a Cat E to cover it if they have to.

What was the offer price for Mazda 6 at the Motorshow in January? The prevailing COE price then was not much lower than the level in March, and in fact COE price had dipped in February, so I wonder why TEK could not secure the COE in February (delay due to loan application?) and instead requested top-up for conversion to guaranteed COE in March when COE price had not gone up much compared with January level.

In fact, I read here that some forumer had booked with non-guaranteed COE in February and had his COE secured this month although COE had gone up even more.

Booked during Motorshow in January, 8 Bid NG about same price as yours, though converted to 5 Bid G after 3 unsuccessful bids.

Anyway, just got to wait, and meanwhile read up more on the Mazda 6. [laugh]

I booked mine during the same week too at 122.8K 8 bid NG...but top-up 2K to 2 bid G after 3 rounds of unsuccessful bids (current car due to scrap in May).  Secured it the last round and will be collecting the coming weekend.

BTW, are you guys who have just collected new 2.0 E looking to change out ("trade-in")the 17" to 19" rim and the tyres?  I am considering if it is worthwhile....Cheers!

Kingfisher, Sherman and myself should have no pps package for this price range, this pps package offered to one week after us (our package should be 3 years warranty right?)

Package one week after us should be upgraded warranty from 3 years to 5 years with pps, but no more early bird discount. My SE told me..

Are you considering any other mods, other than rims upgrade?

Hehe, I was actually referring to you. Enjoy your new ride! Is it still manufactured in 2016? Wonder when the 2017 YOM batch will arrive.

Hi guys, what amount above paper value did TEK offer for your old ride? I read it was +$2K for Sherman's car whose COE was due in Aug. For me, it was only +$3K for my wife's car whose COE was due in less than 1.5 years and mileage clocked was about 185K. I only managed to squeeze another $1K out of them and they accepted only after inspecting the car. They asked to test drive too, but luckily they did not (perhaps the inspection had deceived them) as the car had become jerky intermittently - reason why we did not consider to continue driving it for another year.

I did not trade in my old ride. I sell my car to direct buyer.

Good move! I would have done the same had the car been worthy of test drives.
