Sunburnsam 2nd Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 Any one changed suspension before? If yes, can please share brand, model and price? I think mine's really horrible now. Even driving over an uneven road i.e. curve in surface I hear knocking sound coming from the front. no such noise from the back. originally, I was told my upper arm was loose. after changing it, the sound is still there.. angry! Frostie...you can try to install a coil over for your 6, I am using BC BR coilover which is quite comfortable. I did it @ Racing Technology(Ubi) BC BR link ↡ Advertisement

Ooosh 1st Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 ekeke.....mine was the "material" in the catalytic converter Kaput !! then try to find 1 was very tough...so used a after market version. Now u gave another us another idea to get the parts :) ......so they ship to SG for you or u go over to MY side to replace? Good to share such info :) its common for the material in the Cat to breakdown over time because of the constant pressure of hot exhaust gases from the engine... If you hear clinking noises in your exhaust during idling it is due to these disintegrated bits and pieces of broken down material....just bring to a workshop and ask them to remove exhaust and pour these out....then put back exhaust again....good as new... No need waste money to buy new exhaust or hunt for one in the scrapyard...in the end it will come back to you again...

Surferguy1978 1st Gear June 30, 2013 Share June 30, 2013 could it be the front shock absorber? mine when going over hump got a tok tok sound and after AD check it, they change the absorber and realign the suspension and it fine now.
Siewss 1st Gear June 30, 2013 Share June 30, 2013 I've recently got this problem which I can't decipher. When I start up the engine from cold, there's a lot of stuttering in the exhaust note, but will disappear once the RPM levels falls to the normal idling level. When I accelerate from 2nd gear onwards, the car will jerk and stutter. However, this jerking and stuttering is not felt if I feather the pedal. The symptom also disappears at steady state speed. Any suggestion what could be wrong?

Frostie Clutched July 1, 2013 Share July 1, 2013 could it be the front shock absorber? mine when going over hump got a tok tok sound and after AD check it, they change the absorber and realign the suspension and it fine now. I suspected so. Mine sharing how much it cost to change the absorber? Going up or down hump also got sound. As long as it bounces, confirm 80% upwards got that irritating sound. Siewss 1st Gear July 1, 2013 Share July 1, 2013 Hi Siewss...does the RPM needle go erratic when start up? eg: high low then high ? I checked the tachometer this morning. Yes, the RPM needle is a little erratic upon start up when it usually stay steady at one spot above 1500rpm before settling down to 800rpm. It goes high, then low, then high but not as high as the 1st high, then low, and so on... Strange thing is, on the way home this evening, everything's hunky dory, but I gotta say with the evening traffic I didn't get a chance to step on the gas. Anyway, I've arranged to send it down to the AD tomorrow for them to take a look.
