Yslim Neutral Newbie November 28, 2010 Share November 28, 2010 Dear Arsenal fans, If you observe carefully, the whole team upped their performance when Fab is not around. It's the mentality of the rest of the players. Just like the last few years of Henry's time in Arsenal. When he's in the team, it all revolved around him. No good. Think we need to get rid of Fab, RvP and get a solid goalie (not Swarzer), a tall and a dominant CB who is good with header and a ruthless CDM. Team should be Maarten Stekelenburg, Sagna, Varmelan, Hangelan, Gibbs, Walcott, Song, Cambiasso, Arshavin, Nasri, Chamakh.

But hangeland may be too slow to adapt to arsenal way of play. Cambiasso is not AW type. AW did say he may have to buy in Jan, hope it happens and when we are still within touching distance of the league

Galantspeedz Turbocharged November 28, 2010 Share November 28, 2010 That Nippon is a youngster. Saw a video or 2 on him, seems to be typical winger. Not the first time we had a Nippon player, rem junichi inamoto I think. Heard they r interested in fandi's kids also. At least language will not be a barrier but doubt they will offer fandi a job

We need good old fashioned CBs who can clear the damn lines. ++ a David Seaman (minus that moustache pl)

I don't believe it's just the mentality of the players. I believe, as mention in my previous post, AW built the team around Fab, meaning the players are instructed to play in a manner to suit him. When Fab is not around, the rest play to their own strength and thus, perform better. Of cos mentality also play a part. When you play on a team with a "star player", naturally you look for him when you have the ball, instead of playing it to your own belief and strength... In a way, it relieves you of the pressure and responsibility. I doubt Cambiasso is good enough for EPL... Maybe someone like De Rossi or Felipe Melo will be better? But I highly doubt anyone like that will come in, Ramsey is away on short term loan, meaning he's part of AW plan, and not to mention the injured Diaby - who I think is not good enough. Perhaps we should get rid of AW too...
