Osprey23 Turbocharged November 20, 2010 Share November 20, 2010 BTW. Correction. If i am the liverpool Owner, RH will not be appointed at all. But honestly, if the decision was to sack Rafa last season, who else logically would come? Bear in mind that our ownership issue was then still in limbo. IIRC, Kenny put himself up as a candidate but was turned down by the board. Instead, they appointed him on the selection panel which ultimately gave the job to Roy. Personally, I agree with Tomkins' choice, who is Pellegrini. He did well at Madrid but sacked unfortunately because he failed to outdo Barcelona. If we have taken him, at least it completed a 3-way switch, involving big clubs in La Liga, Serie A and EPL. Well, all these are just "what if" for now

Reason been, our target during that time is to steady the club. who else is a better candidate other than Kenny to steady the club. Ppl might say, This guy did not manage top flight for the last 12 years. but lets us not forget that the ultimate aim is to steady the club. Who but the legend of the club is a better candidate?? another thing which had always been on my mind is this. Yes he had not manage top flight for the pass 12 years, yes football had change in the last 10 years. but then tactics on football did not really change much. meaning that in term of tactical side of the game, he is still very valid. BTW, Also bearing in mind that the What if is if me J22 is the Owner of Liverpool Edited November 20, 2010 by Joseph22

BTW, Also bearing in mind that the What if is if me J22 is the Owner of Liverpool I would not term the appointment after Rafa as Temporary. I would see it as a short-term replacement. Kenny would be a worthy candidate for a caretaker manager say if Roy now get the sack but if back then they were looking at an experience manager to lead us for the next 2-3 years then for the new owner to appoint their man after that, people like Roy or Pellegrini might fit the bill. Pellegrini's tactical style is more continental, which will probably suit our current set of players more. Roy is still hanging on to the old-school 4-4-2 and that's really a pain for some of our players would have been coached previously by more advance-thinking managers either in their former clubs or national side. Will probably not watching tonight's game. Win or lose I will still be happy.

Roy, is just a over hype manager because he bring Fulham to the final of Europa League. Tomskin article had also correctly point out that Hogson winning ratio is only 30 odd %. SAF retirement is now a dreaded thought to man u fans...altho jose is very proven, his style makes more enemies than neutrals. my wife is act a much fiercer man u fan than me, when man u loses or draws, i can forget abt getting honey fr her haha

Joseph22 Turbocharged November 22, 2010 Share November 22, 2010 Jay Spearing?? or Martin Kelly? both are actually important youth for Liverpool.
