Rafa could be jobless soon

this is a bit like the USA re-election now. The Republicans destroyed the fundamentals of the USA economy while Obama and his unfortunate Democrat team took over thereafter. And the problems like sub prime, budget deficit (from the USA participation in Middle East War) began to rear their ugly head. Now the Republicans blames the Democrats for doing a bad job on the economy, failing to resuscitate their country's economy. The fact is the Republicans left the Democrats with too big a hole to fill.

Well said. [nod][nod]

Rafa for screwing up the current team, reserve with his tons of flop signings.

The 2 jokers who screw up the whole bank account.

Roy for his lame tactics and signings

the new owner for STILL HANGING ON TO ROY.

yeah he forever using the same excuse. when he was at valencia, it is true he won the la liga but thereafter, he still complain to the owner no money to buy new players.

and such complaints grew even louder when he go to Anfield. money to buy players can make the difference between champions and runner up i do agree but it cannot explain the phenomenon of a talented pool team twice falling out of top 4 during his short reign.

No need to wait for J22, I will defend Rafa.

Rafa improved the squad massively from the one he inherited from Houllier. Rafa tried to improved the academy but his work was cut short. Rafa's winning percentage at Liverpool is second to none of the earlier managers after Dalglish. No other Liverpool managers have to work with owners who are siphoning funds out of the club.

Last but not least, he fight for the club, unlike the current one we have now.

No one doubt his contributions to Liverpool FC. And i seriously believe he have taken Liverpool as far as he could. I dun think Liverpool will ever progress under his charge.

One may argue that he is better compare to RH. But if Rafa is allow to stay on.... i dun think it will be of any different in term of league standing, well mayb not so bad as in no 2 from bottom. We wont be challenging for the title in near future

When you face with the way Chelsea and Man City are building, you tell me you can keep up without spending? Do you know that since EPL started, the placing of the teams are closing mirrored the cost of the squad with only a few exceptions (Liverpool in 08/09 is one of such, they are the 5th costliest squad but achieved 2nd).

He did not complain until the owners start to siphon money out. Instead of thanking him for exposing the two farkers, you are unhappy that he spoke up.

Why he was sacked last season, I have the same thinking as you. However, I am now wondering why dun we just give him another season. Liverpool under Rafa sometimes play badly, however, under Roy, we sometime play decently.

Rafa will not be able to turn the tide on his own with the boardroom against him. Owners taking money away, CEO undermining his authority, press calling for his head for every opportunity. He never throw in towel when they is really no need to put up with the kind of s--t. He walked out on Valencia because of that but he wanted to stay as he knew the Americans will be out soon, but more importantly, he loves the club.. Unfortunately, Purslow decided to cut him loose.

Unable to take us to the desired level. Very true. However, is it because of his inability or is it because of some other external factors hindering him?

All of us wanted to win the league, but do we have what it takes? No in my opinion. Reason, lack of depth. Why are we lack in depth? Because we have to sell to buy or pick the 2nd or 3rd choice players. Why do we have to do that? Because we are not financially strong enough to compete.

NESV's policy on transfers is that we must get younger players with potential and can sell them if need be at a profit. Paul Tomkins new book ranked the managers in the history of EPL who are the best in doing that. Ranked No.1, no surprise - Arsene Wenger. You guess know who in second? Yes, the man you guys are calling a fat Spanish waiter.
