thanks but you can find car with driver and you can also enjoy the driving . just connect to car provider . if you visit for a short duration .otherwise you have to make licence for driving.

there will always be some fine print somewhere....even if the malaysian traffic law provide for it( no one is sure actually) it is better not to assume that the insurance co will cover cos it is a private contract between the co and the malaysian car owner, once accident everyone will start pushing blame and brings out all the legal definition in the contract....i think there is a risk involve loh.

my neigbhor in johor, a retired singaporean bought a malaysia car, bought the insurance and have been driving with the singapore licence for almost 2 years.

 

sure, singaporean can buy malaysia car, registered, buy insrance and drive in malaysia with singapore licence.

FYI for malaysian who want to drive sg vehicles they have to convert to SG license, upon which the TP will cut up the MY license. The letter from MY RTD instructs the Sg side to destroy the the license.

 

Once converted the MYsian cannot renew or apply for MY license unless they surrender the SG license.

 

There are many malaysian driving private cars in MY with SG license.

that's what i thought... until i arrived at the rental shop and saw all the cars available for rent....

 

instead of being discreet, which was my original intention, i got carried away and rented a flashy cabriolet....

got tailed by a motorbike who i felt was planing a quick robbery

its not the license, its the nationality.

 

Is he a Singaporean or PR? If yes, cant drive in with MY registered vehicle.

if retire ... drive msia car in msia ... park at msia custom ... take public transport to spore la

own time own target ... avoid peak period which is 6am to 10am and 4pm to 8pm
