He mentioned except OEM, meaning factory fitted, I presume. LTA should ban non factory fitted DRLs installed by 阿猪阿狗 workshop without technical knowhows but that would be too much work. How to separate the pros from the P&Ds?

That's the rule. You can always feedback to LTA.

Even OEM fitted by AD, still requires inspection.

As long as DRL is from factory, it can be fitted subject to inspection.

It is very glaring @ nite especially those goondu drivers don't switch on HEADLIGHT.

I don't think those big bikes are allowed to install those lights.

Actually I find DRL quite useless. You don need any lighting during broad day light.

It plainly just for show and cosmetic purpose.

But I admit, in some cars it look really nice with DRL.

Btw, I just did my car inspection and fail...lol.

Vicom fail me 3 things.

1. My windscreen water spray nodes with LED light shining downwards towards bonnet.

2. My LED car brand logo sign at the rear of my car.

3. My beng GT wing spoiler.

Rectification:

1. Cut cable and temporary cannot light up.

2. Same as above.

3. Lucky my spoiler got screws and nuts at the brackets to secure the GT wing.

So just use allen key to unscrew and remove the wing.

Re-inspection: PASS.

Conclusion:

1. Total waste of my time to rectify the issues and still need to paid 62 bucks for this inspection.

2. What the point when I will just fix back the cables and screw back the nuts for the wing.

3. Suggest anybody that going to install exterior lighting to include a switch to shut off the lighting for inspection. Same for DRL.

Cheers!

Long story short. Ease of enforcement trumps actual road usage considerations when it comes to adding stuff to our vehicles.

I rather buy from Amazon. Same thing but different name, a lot cheaper.
