Is it a good idea to buy a 4 to 5 year old BMW 325i? Can one look at the full service record with PML to deduce that the car is ok? (assuming it is full record)

Can someone advise if one were to drive till the 10th year, is there gonna be anymore "body value" for the likes of BMW and Mercedes? I know most Jap cars dun get any body value nowadys...........................

Thanks.

325i should have at least 8k body value. Best buy slightly low mileage...

hi bro, mileage is the last thing one should look at when buying used car. no need to say why [sly]

what is important is the check by your personal workshop mechanic and the annual depreciation.

(edited)

Maybe my question was not clear.

What I meant to enquire is whether BMW or Mercedes have any "car body value" on the tenth year itself. In other words if there is say 5K body value, I will add that to the scrap value (OMV) to calculate how much I can get back on the tenth year.

Regarding mileage, I know most are fake. But I wonder if there is full records with PML, I shall be able to at least rule out the cheating part regarding adjustment in odometer. Perhaps, I can also rule out any lemon car?

What do you guys think of a 4 year old car that has 3 previous owners?

Cheers.

frankly?

not good for starters

becos a 325 is still considered "bread and butter.""

unlike a real sportscar which generally has high turnover in terms of ownership.

You very sure jap cars dont have any body value when scrap at the 10th year?

That's not what I know thou...

Current market maybe have ba. But I think at most 2 or 3K for bread and butter 1.6L cars. A fren's ford focus was offered 1K and it was no way near 10 years old.

Yap, that really bothers me. Can it be a lemon? Dunnoe if an inspection at bimmers specialist workshops will help to rule that out? I certainly dun wanna depend on STA etc etc.

3 owners? that's quite a bit for such cars

If the car is without major problems, actually having more owners may work for me cos I can get to buy it cheaper, no doubt I will sell it cheaper down the road.
