E_b_l_s Neutral Newbie November 19, 2010 Share November 19, 2010 Henderson on have my best Mutton soup vote. But only open in the morning finished by about 3pm. Weekend they don't sell. One of the best so far, soft Stew and great soup. Chilli not bad, but I like to add the vinegar to suit my taste. Bedok Interchange: Main store used to open at TPY Silverscreen Food Court, close down, have Branch at Tampines 506, also closed down. The soup seems to make me thirsty after eating, the best is their chilli. Airport Road - not bad. Kitchener Rd - also can top up soup. The environment and the soup, sure sweat. Bt Timah - Also not bad Adam Food Centre - Only tried once and, dark stew and soft, stronger taste soup. Like this store too. Purvis Street - Hainanese style with taopok, very meaty but slightly tough, cut into cube shapes. Hail the mutton soup king! In his quest for the best mutton soup around! ↡ Advertisement
Unfair 3rd Gear November 19, 2010 Share November 19, 2010 Just back from the henderson one. Btw, i could not find henderson hawker centre. Its actually Bukit Merah View hawker centre... It is cheap and good, but not as herbal as i would like it. The guy behind me ordered $5 portion + $2 spare ribs.... Those herbal ones are black soup, this one is abit greyish. Unfair 3rd Gear November 22, 2010 Share November 22, 2010 Any other place you trying? I tried the one at adam road, black soup base which is more herbal. But meat not as nice as bukit merah view one. Also tried the one at bedok interchange which i think is an epic fail. I would think bukit merah view > adam hawker center > kitchener road > bedok interchange I think i have been taking too much mutton soup, not good for my health haha. Latka 1st Gear November 25, 2010 Author Share November 25, 2010 Today, tried the stall at Geylang Bahru Food Centre. The stall facing car park. It was just ok for me, nothing much to shout about. There used to be another stall at this food ctr also selling herbal mutton soup which was located at the inside of the food ctr. Unfortunately it has shifted, now operated by a tze char stall called Weng Fatt Kitchen. This is the one that was good. Not only was the taste above average but the portion was more generous too. If anyone knows where they shifted to, do tell.

The henderson market is the common name I think, but can't remember the exact name. But I know it's near block 115. Then the one at Adam Market suits you. I used to like those very strong herbal taste one. Now I like the soup not too overpowering and the stew must be soft. The other one that was thought to be good is at the Jalan Berseh Hawker Centre, opp Mac Donald. Only tried it once during lunch time almost 2 years ago, can't recall the taste.
