Correct. Precisely. So why is he buying a red-plate Cayman when u can save more money buying a Merc C Class? Or something?

You know what i mean? I'm not saying why he got money buy Cayman also wanna save money. I'm saying, he's actually not being smart with his money when he can save a lot more buying a cheaper car.

why not he go and buy 10 chery QQ. then he can haolian he got 10 car instead of one cayman? [laugh]

why people buy merc also can go malaysia pump petrol, everyone has their ways of saving money.

He buys cayman because he wants a cayman. Y r u telling him to buy something else he don't want? So what if he can buy a blackplate 370z or 3x toyota sedan or whatever? He wants a cayman. If u can sell him a new blackplate cayman for the same price that he paid for his redplate cayman, I am sure he will take the blackplate. But can you?

I want to eat a BK Whopper. I can choose with cheese or without cheese, so i choose the whopper without cheese. Then u ask me why i don't buy Big Mac, comes with cheese, and same price as whopper without cheese. Hello, I want whopper leh.

You're seriously telling me that buying a red-plate Cayman = saving money? More than just buying a Toyota?

Really?

Your bus-taking granddad will buy a porsche?

I'm not questioning that he saves money buying a red plate Cayman, than buying a regular plate Cayman. BUT, won't he save more by buying a 370z? Or any other car? That's the question.

If he's the thrifty sort, why's he buying a Cayman?

I'm just very very confused. And very curious about his rationale behind that decision. Like, why? Haha.

i told you liaos.

people dont want to pay for something they dont use and they probably have another car

the cayman is a performance FUN car.

the c class is an old man car.

hi bro

i think its right if you say E-class but not C-class

I wouldnt see it any more an old man's car than an E90 3 series

Lol, okay la, not really old men's cars

but, they're still drab and boring sedans, well, unless you're talking AMG or those with the M badge.

i know u drive a c-class, i ask u smth serious and honest. Not trying to be sacastic or wat. Simply bcos i am curious.

Other than the branding & the 'wow' factor, wats the difference between driving a C class and lets say a B&B car with similar power?

Say compare C class VS 2.0 mazda3, impreza 2.0, lancer ex 2.0 blah blah. i wanted to say civic 2.0 but i realise civic 2.0 is 140k

I honestly dun know, and i have never driven both before. I cant afford both either. But this is just a general question.

In terms of performance, fun, handling, everything.

Is it much much better?

i'm not sure if you're thinking the same thing as i am though. Regarding some boring performance cars.

the beemers do drive amazing, just that the 318/320 offerings are well, fairly underpowered.

Let's just say the branding comes with heritage and repute. BMW has built it sll these years as the drivers' car, Merc, and the other marques......DEFINITELY CANNOT BE COMPARED TO YOUR SUNNNY, LATIO, TOYOTA, ETC...whose sole purpose is to get you from a-b....

Let's just say that once you are hooked, nothing comes close.....

try getting out of your shell sometime and do see the big peekture
