Little_prince Supersonic November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 depends bah on your intent if just to gamble, then no point go genting ... if you add up toll plus fuel, might as well just pay the 100 bucks entrance fee if go with family for short holiday while daddy gambles, then it's fine i guess hahaha i remember when i was young... whenever my family go up genting holiday, i 3 day never see my dad one... hahaha
Tigerwoods Turbocharged November 2, 2010 Share November 2, 2010 The 1st time I go Genting with my colleagues, we sat in 1 Proton Saga - 7 men. Mind you the driver is a 1.85m tall guy, none other than Santa Singh, who died in ECP in his burnt car after a horrible accident long time ago. I'm sad till this day. A nice and genuine guy... I remember the 1st 3 hrs, I won around RM$600 and say stop and enjoy the next 2 days. When I came down on Sunday, I only have 20sen left in my pocket, actually its a 20sen I didn't know I have... That was 20 yrs ago.

Anybody still prefer genting over local casinos? There is something that Genting has which ours don't have. i.e..the nice cool weather ansd scenic view. To me this is the greatest attraction, which Singapore can't buy with money. Anyway, I'm not interested in gambling though I have visited Las Vega, Macau and others. Las Vega still the best, where they have big scale live show along the street with those special movie effect. Again this is something SG can't do too. Can flush my exhaust pipe with speed of 165km/h, cheap food at KL and JB for return trip.......

Vextan 1st Gear November 2, 2010 Share November 2, 2010 (edited) me, no. i was told by a few friends that initially they felt the deterence of the levy, but after go in one time, they dont feel it liao. they say if lose a few grand what is 100, and if win a few grand what is 100. the worse is those who pay the yrly 2k levy, almost every week go in few times. i dont have such a big head dont wear such a big hat, would rather spend 100 on buying toys for daughter or dress for mrs or meal with parents. Luckcent 4th Gear November 4, 2010 Share November 4, 2010 To pay $100 is purely gambling, whereas in GH is a resort whereby you get the cool weather, also you can have leisure in the casino for a while. Also provided the surrounding, you can go to KL for nice lunches and shopping.
