I actually accompanied a friend to watch a show... she was bored...wanted to watch a horror show... so dragged me along and she bought the tickets.

We watched Haunted Changi. Its the stupidest dumbest sorriest movie you can watch. Period.

Which reminds me. The last local movie I watched was that biopic of Adrian Lim. Piece of crap. No real nudity from the Singaporean girl either. Complete waste of time/money.

The worst movie I've seen recently on the big screen was Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones". Slow-moving, predictable, maudlin and pretentious. I didn't know it was possible to make child rape/murder unsympathetic, but somehow PJ manages it, and that right there is "genius" [rolleyes] .

The book itself is a let down. I usually think the book is better but actually the book is a good read. Until the bloody lousy ending. I was like.... what the....????

So while I must say The Lovely Bones is pretty good as a movie, the source material's ending was the main thing that made the movie really bad.

When it comes to SG movies, it is always Eric Khoo who has the right touch. Be With Me is a real experiment that went very well. Imagine a film with no dialogue. It makes you uncomfortable because you have to read the actor's mimics. Which means every scene rests on the actor's mimic abilities and not their stage-craft tock c--k ability like most American movies. I recommended it to some American and European arteur film fans and they were blown away by it.

As for Royston Tan, he is good. Really good. Then suddenly.....he went mainstream. 881 is really good but somehow, I think Royston w/o his rebellious ways isn't quite Royston.

Some terrible movies I watched that I can remember

Legend of Chun Lee

Dragon Ball Evolution

The three Kingdom starring Andy Lau & Maggie Q

Ong Bak 3, & 2 for that matter. Ong Bak 1 was so good.

Anyone remembered "The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover"? Some arty farty RA movie which was quite popular over 10 years ago. Big huhah but that was the lousiest movie to me.... Some couple making out in the kitchen, caught by husband and killed guy. The wife then cooks her killed lover and feed it to the husband....

The latest movie that I watched that was REALLY bad was Machete.

Robert Di Niro and Steven Seagal were in the film, really heightened my expectations, turned out totally tasteless...alot of -_- moments.
