Kelpie 2nd Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 The dominating party in MY did say if opposition is allowed unprecedented success in election, Malaysia economy will fail badly. Look at what happened in MY, the country still in one piece, if not better . A strong opposition is needed to check on the government. Iygnaug 1st Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 guys...ask not what your country can do for you...ask what you can do for your country. remember that. I never had any problems with this foreigner policy thing because I understood why they are neccessary. Do you know who started this phrase? Who was the one who gave us this idea? American Persident J.FF. Kennedy definitely had different circumstances facing him when he came up with the phrase. There is actually a 2nd part of this notion that is often ignored. "My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." Do ponder over this, with Singapore's context in mind. since when did 'you' and 'your country' became 2 separate entity? (this is my friend's opinion) I feel for Singapore... I love Singapore
Kelpie 2nd Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 "My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." I see... so this is the missing part. Thanks. Regards,

Kelpie 2nd Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 yep, this was my first thought also as i read the exchange between the 2 of them. sm goh's reply is obviously either to deflect attention or missing the point. common sense will tell everyone this 23 year old is not referring to the bangla construction worker. Hence, I said they are "practising" Taichi. Some here just read the lines without seeing the hidden agenda . Regards,
Acemundo Supercharged November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 oh my view differ. i still remember his analogy of using half time of a football to illustrate the situation of ruling party being return to power on nomination day. he said something like it is only a half time massive lead but like the football game, they could stilll lose in the second half. how can the ruling party still lose when they garner the majority seats on nomination day. it would have been more appropriate to illustrate it with a badminton or tennis game whereby it is best of 3 or best of 5 sets. The ruling party has won the decisive best of 3 or best or 5, the remaining sets they can afford to lose but losing those sets only means loss of pride. and what about the recent case of saying PR will be invited to take up citizenship failing which their PR may not be renewed? and the following day his press secretary have to come out and clarify that he meant something entirely different? In corporate world, I learnt that issue (ball) cannot be held for too long , must kick (pass on) the ball straight to the goal post or let someone else carry the ball.
