Alheych 6th Gear October 29, 2010 Share October 29, 2010 http://www.autohome.com.cn/drive/201008/134897.html read the above review, sorry it's in chinese. this is by far the most commendable effort i've seen from geely (who owns emgrand). by 2012 there will be no more geely brand so it's plausible that this will make it here. if it's reliable, it may be another rising star. ↡ Advertisement
Dadiao 1st Gear October 29, 2010 Share October 29, 2010 Think Reliability, Cheap maintenance, Image and Looks are some of the criteria Singaporeans are looking for.
Leezld 1st Gear October 29, 2010 Share October 29, 2010 Using mitsubishi engine...specs seem good too... might be worth a buy if it was more affordable than the current range for 2.4L cars...
Calford 2nd Gear October 30, 2010 Share October 30, 2010 Geely is serious in making good cars. It looks more refine. But EC8 is using their own engine yet....
Coupecabriolet Clutched October 30, 2010 Share October 30, 2010 side profile really resembles that of a camry. no offence but i find china cars either trying to copy too much (either abit here & there or just plain wholesale), or when they try to be original, its not good looking. Forte3737 5th Gear October 30, 2010 Share October 30, 2010 with the high car prices, china cars have no future in spore
Timex1441 1st Gear October 30, 2010 Share October 30, 2010 It's tought to change perceptions and biasedness....korean cars haven't cleared that hurdle, chinese cars must wait even longer!

It is a Camry rip-off! Chinese are not known innovators, but are good copiers.. this car is not good looking, and even tho it uses Mit engine (another co's product!!), we dunno what material they are using for the chassis/body and the car's safety ratings etc... MIC is still a No Go for me, no matter how cheap it is... Safety cannot be compromised by cheaper price...

Seriously... When I got to Malaysia... I see Protons and Peroduas... When I go to China, I see Chevrolet and Volkswagen.. That already says a lot about chinese brand cars. Kelpie 2nd Gear November 2, 2010 Share November 2, 2010 Seriously until proven. Perhaps can do what the Proton did...slap a Geely logo on a Volvo. Sure sell . Unfair 3rd Gear November 22, 2010 Share November 22, 2010 Whats wrong with looking like other cars ? There is no point in reinventing the wheel right ? The basic shape of a normal car is like that already, how deviant can you go ↡ Advertisement
