Hanzo82 Neutral Newbie October 31, 2010 Share October 31, 2010 Red is the true AR legacy . again, it depends on ones taste and preference. jeeps, my interior is set to the 8C competizione colour tone with wet carbon fibre dash to spunk the intangible taste. " yet another JB wannabe only preference is fussili with crayfish pasta". yummy ↡ Advertisement

She offered to let me have a test drive of the V12 Vantage but it is just not me to try something that I am not prepared to buy. I know that I will buy it after test driving it and I know my folks and wife is going to kill me but mostly I was thinking of my current and future angels as I planned to have 6 children if possible. I'll be cheering for you from here and hopefully I would be a happy owner of a V12 Vantage just as quickly:) seriously.. the SE gave more than a hoot for you? you told her your grandmother story about your future kids in labour soon and about the possible slaughter from your family members? what was her expression like? or or
Coupe07 Neutral Newbie October 31, 2010 Share October 31, 2010 1. AM vantage has a overly matured look. Young men find it too old. Old man who wants a sports car to feel young wldnt want it as well. 2. Overall AM does not have the sports car aerodynamic look. Looks bulky with a heavy backside. 3. V12 on a AM just doesnt cut it. Compare a Vantage v12, with a Lambo Gallardo V10. I tink its easy to choose, the latter. Price wise, if we are talking about supercar, that is considered a small difference. Having said all that, im not here to discredit the AM. I personally have been to the showroom and i even knew the saleslady u mentioned. Pretty gal with a very good attitude, whether u r buying the car or not. Interior of the AM is top notch quality. If talking about the Vantage, i guess the v8 wld be more appropriate, at 520k w COE, waiting time 6 months. Outlook is similar, only difference is bigger engine. Getting a AM vantage will not be about performance (if not, u r better off getting a used F360 or gallardo)... more for the understated look (or rather matured look, if u prefer to call it otherwise) Im writing this not becos im in dreamland, but becos the AM Vantage V8 was one of my next purchase choice and i did some thorough homework, however i have since moved on and forego the AM due to the overly matured look. And no, im not in my late 20s.. that was a few yrs ago.

Jujitsuka 4th Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 Doesn't matter which one supercar you buy juz make sure the SE serving u is a sweet young thing and remember to as for other "extras" before sealing the deal! IMHO you will not regret it! Dats wat happens when one of my frds was on an errand to help his father to replace his aging jaguar... He bought 2 S350 with full options instead of 1, after he was convinced by the SE that the benefits of the "extra services"! Needless to say he slept outside with the dogs for quite sometime after the cars were delivered... But then again u r richie rich so its ok!

Primo Neutral Newbie November 18, 2010 Share November 18, 2010 Gambel32, like you, I once told myself I would get an Aston Martin once I could afford a supercar.....that it was an understated beauty, not flamboyant like the italian supercars etc......however, when the day I could afford one came, I found myself attracted to the louder cars.....no, it wasn't because I wanted to show off...neither was I becoming a brat.....it dawned on me that I wanted my supercar to have a sense of occassion....just by looking at it, by sitting in it....in short, it had to be entirely different from my everyday car.....&, it has to have a super colour simply because its a supercar......& we all know an Aston looks ridiculous in a bright colour.......I think most people changed their minds and got other cars even though they were AM fans.....don't get me wrong....I still think its a beautiful car......but maybe next time....... Lol...lets face it, its about the presence and I can understand that. Its almost like my friends can never understand why I always like the unstated or subtle stuffs. AM never fails to remind me of a Jag XJs and it is known in history that the XJ is always kicking the AM's butt... A supercar is A SUPERCAR...without the right blended of wildness just makes it pointless to the point of being tasteless, I get your drift and Thank you for sharing. Italian always makes firebreds that causes itch in man's wallet and weaken the ladies legs and kudos to the italian flamboyance that no other nation has it. Can you imagine even the Sanitors is Groomed and Polished? German make very practical everyday supercar and other Euro supercar makers will try to make the best of both worlds however IMHO a mere feat of courage, it never failes to fail. If not for the James Bond aura that sets the AM on a league of its own, I believe that AM would more or less become yet another MG. Recently I had my hands on my friend's Ferrari Italia, my friend gave me a quote that is passed within the Ferrari circle, "This is a Ferrari, others are just cars". I laughed and told him that Ferrari had been making very sexy, expensive and punishing to drive dreams to keep the Dolce Vita alive! I am a Ferrari fan but I am not prepared to part with my buck to fuel an F1 failing team. As soon as I drove the italia, I really had to swallow my pride and apologize for what I said. As far as I am concerned, the 458 is out of this world great "BUT"...It looks like a Gallardo! :X Edited December 1, 2010 by Gambel32

Andylau1177 Neutral Newbie December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 Hey Bro, Just buy the AM V12! I haven't got a friend who drive one and I would like to meet you and your AM in MCF MU. Don't ask so much questions/opinions about supercars here. The blokes here, like me, are too poor to buy a supercar. Quickly go buy and show us the pics! Make sure you are in the pics too!
