Sylphy 1.5 going Genting

Any Sylphy 1.5 owner drove up Genting before ? How's the performance while climbing up ?

Any car also can go up Genting, just tht u must rem to use the correct gear and drive safely.

I heard from my friend that another friend of his avoided driving up his Sylphy to Genting because the car is quite heavy.

For 1.5, he said it is kind of under-powered, so climbing up is quite difficult.

 

In the end, my friend drove him up in a Jazz.... :)

Hi,

 

My ride's Sylphy 1.5A.

 

Went up Genting 3 times ( total 3 Adults & 2 children) no prob.

But at certain very steep slopes have to engage to "2" for more power.

Otherwise "D" is sufficient to climb most parts Genting.

Can lah, just use the appropriate gear, shld not be a prob. Just end up slower than other cars only.

Because driver using wrong gear.

Like some Crown taxi driver, using 5th gear at 40km/h, whole car vibrate..

It is the driver not the car. 650CC car can go up so is a 1.5L ones.
