Dear All,

Any Denso Iridium Spark Plug Expert [scholar] user can advice the differences with SK20 & IK20 ?

I were told by Ric-Tat @ owen road that the IK20 is now out of stock, but SK20 is available, I'm wondering [dizzy] the same Heat Range numbered for "20" is for Hot Engine application.

Kindly advice.

The SK20 has 0.7mm electrode and is designed as a long life plug, while the IK20 has 0.4mm.

The gap of 0.7 to 0.4 is so wide, does it affect the application into Engine ?

0.7mm will last longer; 0.4mm is finer and thus, better efficiency.

if you ask me, i will opt for the typical copper spark plug and change every 10,000km.

cheap and good.

i think mine is using platinum spark plugs and come with stock.

to each its own.

strange, normally SK series harder to find. at least that's what i encounter many years back.

FYI the unit price is cheaper than IK20 series, they quoted me SK20R11 for $14/pcs/Included GST.

ITs not the gap. ITs the width of the center electrode.

which is better? wider gap or narrow gap?

Too small gap it may not properly ignite the fuel. Too wide it will misfire. It has to be optimum.
