I got the old one but I heard must use synthetic -w40 due to the turbocharger. I wonder where to get the LiquiMoly cheap?

Yep, it's the current caddy with DSG one. No problem with the 5W-30 one. Been using LM for since 15000km. Now it's almost 50000km. LM is never cheap, I went JB buy. Even though, also costs more than S$100 for the 5L one.
Kb27 Supersonic October 24, 2010 Share October 24, 2010 Ok thanks. LM seemed like good stuff. Was thinking of getting it if the price is right. If I get Schaeffer Supreme 5w40, still can get for around $65 for 5 qts.
Mini-itx2010 Neutral Newbie October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 Euro-IV engine will seize and cannot be restarted if wrong oil is used. Must send back to agent to reset. Wow, that sounds really bad. Engine sieze because wrong oil is used. I jus wonder whats the point of having Euro IV standards if its so hard to maintain. I can live with the higher emissions but not with such terrible maintenance needed.

I dun have to used the same kind/brand/type of engine oil or do i? Depends on how much you need to top-up, if 200ml for 10k then any brand engine oil will do but if you have to top-up 500ml for every 3k then best is to use the same engine oil brand. Fyo8822 1st Gear November 5, 2020 Share November 5, 2020 All Syn engine oils are created more or less the same. Most important is the Weight of the Oil. For singapore weather , using 5W-40 should suffice as oil gets thinner when weather is hot and humid. ↡ Advertisement
