Quiet Car Park To Test Drive

My friend got his driving licence more than 10 years ago but has no chance to drive. He is now thinking of getting a car but has no confidence to drive yet and recently booked a refresher driving course, which is a good thing for him. He has also asked me to let him drive my car a few rounds in an empty car park to get the feel.

I remember last time Kallang McDonalds car park and marina south car park are good places.

Let me know if you have any idea which car parks are not so crowded for car test, refresher etc. Thanks

I have helped my friend to learn parking in the heavy vehicle lot near sengkang. His case also similar to your friend's, he got license but no confidence in parking, so, took him to my nearest lot and taught him the techniques. Don't try this in MSCP or normal car park. The heavy vehicle lots will be usually empty and more broader and open, so, it will be easy. or Take him to places like Changi north(near vicom) during weekends, usually, it will be deserted and you can easily help your friend to learn.

he should be fine after the refresher session.. if not, take more sessions.. no use driving on quiet roads as he ultimately will drive on roads filled with cars and jams.. that is.. unless its a she... is ur gf.. has no licence and want to try out driving .. then thats another story [:p]

for parking... the fastest way to learn would be for him to practise using his own car... that way.. the fear of banging his car will steepen his learning curve [pirate]

Funny. If they want to drive, then why not just buy the car first and then use their own car to built up confidence.

U mean your friend want to test his confidence before buying a car?

Or he already bought a car, while waiting, want to test and built up his confidence.

The best is to really use own car or rent a car. And drive it on the road at his own time own target.

If that friend is a girl...of course best time is at dead of night where carpark are deserted and quiet. Can practice all she wants. In out in out, up the hump, down the track, balakang masuk, parallel, etc.
