Sunday Neutral Newbie April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 I went to SE tyre shop and compare the Thai made ps3 and german made ps3. The Thai made cost more and has thicker layering and sidewall. I dun really believe it until the shop owner brought out both to show me and compare. After seeing, I am going for the Thai made at my next tyre change. Kr_toy 1st Gear April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 1- Stiffest sidewall Re001, dz101,ps3 2- BEST wet weather grip ps3,dz101,reoo1 3- POSITIVE steering feedback in all conditions re001, dz101,ps
SimonTan 2nd Gear April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 Thicker can last longer. But it will also dull the performance feel due to tyre thread 'flexing' There must be a reason why the German one is made with 'lower' thread height, perhaps to increase tyre feel. Sometimes.....different location tyres are so subjective as its objective changed when made in different country.

Tohto Hypersonic May 10, 2012 Share May 10, 2012 anyone has any opinion on CPC2 vs PS3 ? thanks! Different class. You should compared CSC3 orCSC5 with PS3.
Kar_lover Supercharged May 17, 2012 Share May 17, 2012 If PS3 and RE050 same price which will you take and why? I am considering this 2 now and only $10 difference in price so price not a factor. My requirements must be good grip in both wet (given the weather here) and dry and short braking distance. Things like comfort and noise not so important. Ok. Thanks. Not sure if the shop meant RE050A (but neglected to say the "A"). Will check with them. Anyway new model is not always better right? I heard some ppl say RE002 is not better than 001. I heard some ppl say RE002 is not better than 001. not very sure. but the flyers from bridgestone show its better. and 1 thing to note. re002 is all make in thailand/ indo. expect a few 19 ' size. in term of grip and stability re050a will win ps3 flat. i used both b4. pc3 is more of a comfort tyres ( low noise ). if u want grip and noise level is not an issue , take re050a provided the shop selling u still got fresh stocks. Kar_lover Supercharged May 17, 2012 Share May 17, 2012 (edited) Will clarify with shop whether is 050 or 050A but he did say it is 2011 tyres. If by that time 050 already discon then i guess will be 050A? Also another bro mentioned earlier (and i also heard before) RE050 now replaced by S001 so 050A is also considered old already? Progression of model is RE050 -> RE050A -> S001? Edited May 17, 2012 by Kar_lover
