Mamamia Clutched October 10, 2010 Share October 10, 2010 Am intending to buy a 2nd car to replace my wife's BMW 3 series. Shortlisted the IS250... but was wondering what exactly are the differences between the Basic and Luxury model other than the OMV diff of approx SGD$4k. Can someone please shed some light? ↡ Advertisement

MR2SBA 2nd Gear October 11, 2010 Share October 11, 2010 Yes, for comfort, quality and specs, go for IS250. My experience with a 325 (2008 model) is so far less than satisfactory. Go for the Lux version, worth the extra $ new or second hand. Spec in Lux but not in Basic that is really useful: - auto wiper and rain sensor (even Camry has it...) - HID with AFS vs halogen (brighter and better reflections of road signs) - factory fitted park assist (show distant as # of bar in dash) - auto-tilt side mirror in reverse (very useful, but can get fitted outside for Basic) - rear sun shade (for hot S'pore weather) - cruise control (relax drive on NS highway) - memory seats (3 settings, drivers and passenger, diff setting for wife:)) - power tilt and telescopic steering (set to seat) Others good features ... - anti-glare chromatic rear view and side mirrors - wood trim panels - 14 speaker vs 13 speaker sound system (both not ML set) - illuminated scuff plate The 2010 Premium comes with reverse camera and sat nav. Good to have if willing to part with more $.

MR2SBA 2nd Gear October 14, 2010 Share October 14, 2010 Read it from Lexus forum.... Quote from Lexus forum, a contribution from Phochem: "Hi guys, i'm from markx forum. For the side mirror auto folding and tilting function there's aftermarket solution to it. Most of the X's have its installed. If only auto fold, ard $80. auto tilit $120. With both $180. Goto GT Auto along Simon Rd look for the boss Ah yuen. Jus let him know those crazy markx owners recommend one"
