according to wikipedia, the 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla was on both the floor-mat and accelerator-pedal recall lists for USA.

Anyone heard about such cases in S'pore?

each brand are target different audience... if one want reliability and durability, i will aim toyota...

honda target different audience.. one prefer more sportier drive, more road feedbacks.. harsh suspension.. slightly more into power/performance... than other JDM makes.... just like they market their type r, and previous ver of City .. with different setup in suspension between idsi and vtec.. and new fit 1.3 and fit RS....

what i like about nissan, is the interior.... the way they put in efforts, design it for driver.... if i'm old and wish to go for jap, nissan is definitely 1 go for..

same goes to mazda....

the market is always full of choices... [laugh]

Unfortunately, reliability is not exclusive to Toyota. The Koreans are reliable as well. I cannot think of anything that sets Toyota apart from its competitors other than its massive recalls. Talk about reliability ? How ironic.

yup.. korean make are reliable as well.. but not my cup of tea.. [;)]

frankly speaking, this new altis.. has nothing to shout about...this dual vvti.... with an aged 4 sp gb.... there's no beneficial having a higher hp ride which no one drive to the max all the time.. they shall throw in cvt gb into the altis.. this shall improve FC... [:p]

the truth about reliability in toyota is ah pek always utilize the 3 free servicing..and skip the rest...this definitely applies to my uncle.. hahaaa..

drive 3-5 yrs, change ride.. never go for servicing..tire use till fully slick.... drive till got problem.. and throw it to 2nd dealer immediately...

no wonder he always say toyota is reliable.. [laugh]

No matter what, Toyota will still be No.1. Look at Samsung trying very hard to catch Sony, almost but still CMI

Well then I guess almost 20% of households have CMI LCD TVs at home made by this market leader.

actually, i have never owned a toyota, now 2 mazda.

Just to set the record straight, i am an irate toyota customer who felt (and still do) shortchanged for swapping the G9 for a fatso altis.

there are cars that are cheaper than the Altis, but the Altis is better than these cars more than the price diffference, thats why the Altis still outnumbers them on the road e.g. Forte, Avante. And there are some cars which are perhaps (arguably) better than the Altis, e.g. Civic and Jetta, but they are much more expensive than the Altis, yet not that much better than the price difference they command. Thats why you see the Corolla has and will always be the number one seller. But different cars have different characteristics, so these other cars still will still have their market share.

It Is sad that you see still living in your own japanses world.

Who is the leading the TV market now? Is Sumsung LED! Others are playing catching up game.

Which model was number 1 seller in 2009 in SG? Is Avamte

Which model leading now in 2010? is Kia Forte.
