Anyone tested driving new Altis

now civic2.0 at 140k, compare to 2 years ago 80k :D

 

anyone know why the COE rise abt $26k but car prices up by $40k-60k? whats the logic or dynamics?

dun forget the yen has been rising steadily against the SGD and this affects the OMV of Jepun cars in SGP and hence the basic car cost. COE is only one of the factors. On the other hand, the Euro has been heading the opposite direction.

The ALTIS is Made in Thailand and I doubt that BM is buying them in YEN as the appreciation of the YEN should not effect the OMV of the car. Cars that are MIJ will be effected by the raising YEN and their OMV is higher nowadays.

 

The biggest disappointment with the ALTIS is the 4-Speed gear box.

Yah i remember when Civic was selling at 80k, ppl still complained it was over priced. Now these group of ppl all disappeared? Or are they in a state of disbelief? :D

Regardless in which era and how much is the COE, Honda cars are always over-priced in sg! [rolleyes]

Heard not only improve to dual VVTi engine, but the exterior design also got changed eh? [:/] But too bad still a 4 speed gear box! [thumbsdown]

seems like many ppl dunno Made in thai does not mean products must be sold in Baht...

 

my coy manufactures goods in sg, china and thailand but we trade in YEN and US only.

you are right bro, made in thailand means toyota make more profit only, they will still sell to BM in yen.

Somehow the face lift seemed to make the car sleeker & nicer than the last version. What's the benefit of DVVTI?
