Hi, Mrs and myself had been eyeing this car for ages but heard very negative reviews. Appreciate if you can let us know whether any improvement since the 2010 batch....

Thanks in advance!!!

i went with a friend to test the peugeot mpv,3 something...he needs it. i think it's more suited for most auto drivers. it uses normal auto.

i beg to differ from Yatto on you'll grow to love it. my wife has been driving our alfa for 3 years and got used to the gearbox, but...still hates it.

reliability wise, i only have to say, never buy a conti if reliability factors high on your priorities. some can live with problems, others can't. it doesn't break down all the time, but for sure some of the materials are still not as foolproof as the japs, who make cars more capable of withstanding hot weather. even my alfa mechanic tells me that.

Tested the 6 speed selespeed of the c4 GP previously.

Pro:

Nice interior with lotsa comfy things.

Lotsa added features like blower for the rear passengers, added interior wifi module for in the car surfing.

The large front driver window pane but in Sg might not be so great due to our climate. We want to block out more sun/ glare.

The rear 3rd row is pretty comfy for small size adults.

Cons:

This was the killer for me, the 6 speed selespeed gearbox. Absolutely hate it.it's like driving a manual with all the jerks. I think my family would not be used to the jerky ride.

The weird steering wheel.

Price right now.

There would be a new auto 6 speed gearbox and that might be a good ride.

Cheers

Personally i sat in a C4 Picasso before.. Yes indeed the gearbox is rather jerky but i believe once one master the controlling of the gearbox,

its rather a very comfort MPV compare to jap MPVs.

Hi,

I've driving it for a 4 months now. Mileage now is about 46k. Was 14 months old when I bought the car from used car dealer. Change 3 headlamp bulbs for 20 dollars each during my last service. There were some problem with radiator pump. Cycle and carriage replaced it without charges cos still under warranty.

Lots of features. Some very useful for family with children. Second row could accommodate 1 babyseat and 2 booster seats.

I prefer to drive in semi-auto, cos better control and better fuel efficiency, about 9 to 10 km/l. Fuel efficiency could improve greatly if you travel mostly on smooth highway traffic.

So far so good. I'm happy as it serves me and family well.

I am thinking whether to book this weekend... Seems like the COE is going to maintain at it's current level for the next 6 mths. Unless LTA is going to cut the COE growth to negative. Otherwise the scrap car should be able to replenish more than the growth rate.

Need to book 1 before I need a major over haul of my current car... coming to 6th year...

Suspension, I think almost gone,

Air con, up the lorry liao...

FC going up

Radiator, just done some minor repair but i think still go problem.

To all C4 Picasso owners, can you share what's your fuel consumption? Shortlisted this MPV and one of the main concern is the FC.

I'm getting avg 11+km/ltr running on stock 17" rims

Hi Dchia78, you may get more appropriate responses in the Citroenchat forum.

Btw Citroen are planning meet ups in this Nov, so maybe you can come and see for yourself.

depends.

my first 10000km was 11.9km/L. Travelled by highway everyday.

then I shifted house and changed job. City traffic, start/stop, rounding in the carpark, etc

2nd 10000km was then 10.9km/L

Now I hardly drive but am always stuck in traffic. As of today it is 9.7km/L. With a twin pram, two baby seats permanently in the car.

Hi,

How reliable is Citroen car especially current C4 Grand Picasso with new face lift? Like the intensity of maintenance and parts replacement in the first 3 years?

This make is not really popular in Singapore.

Thank you.

I agree with you. I tested the C4 out recently as well and I knocked it off my list due to the gearshifts. My mom has a punto and she had a 1st gen self shifting manual in her old corsa. None were as jerky as the C4. The Touran's DSG was pretty good. Better than any other self-shifter, that was until I test drove the Grand Scenic Diesel. I checked 3 times with the salesgirl to make sure it was a self-shifter LOL

If really keen on C4 theres the '10 4 speed auto version in the used car market. Agree really hav to stay away from EGS gb and other self clutching gb if reliability is main concern

Agreed about the gearbox. Gear step up is rather jerky and driver has to manually release and step accelerator to gain speed. This motion is rather uncomfortable. Cannot get used to this driving style during the drive test.

I owned a C4GP now. Yes, the gearbox is very jerky.

But then that did not stop. To overcome the jerks, I'm driving in manual mode most of the time. To me, it's more fun actually, plus no more jerk as you get to control the gearbox directly.

That can be useful although Picasso can auto change from manual to auto mode. By the way, there are tons of buttons on the steering wheel. :o
