Will be starting work in JB(factory, don't know which area yet) so just wondering if anybody is working inside?

Have to travel in/out everyday so I guess the only consolation is saving on petrol but it's reimburse anyway. [rolleyes]

BTW I do my fuel run weekly in JB so am familiar around JB town area.

Company not going to provide hp bill calling back singapore besides work related.

Any idea what's the best choice(cheapest) to get connected to my  ones and kakis?

Anyone thing else I should take note off?

rather worrying about phone bills, u should ensure yr car insurance covers malaysia......

Think all motor insurance for passenger car are covered in West Malaysia. I tried to remove it once and the broker said cannot. Its compulsory!

Errrr.... could we be working in the same company??? [:p]

For a start, your HR would be the best source of advise.

How often would you be going in? Daily? Twice a week? Once a week or what???? If more than 3 times a week, think its best you get your HR to get an Employment pass for you. you don't wanna get into trouble with the authorities there.

Get a pre-paid card ( I use DIGI) there. There's Celcom, Digi, Maxis, etc.... For me, RM$30 top up is valid for 1 month. RM$50 is valid for 2 month. I've never managed to use up the credits when in JB and it accumulates. (Incoming is free).

Going in at 8:00am should not be any jams on weekdays...... just that the jam occurs on the way back starting from about 4:30pm till around about 8pm (depends and varys alot on whether its a Friday, eve of public holiday, etc) Sometimes, it can be clear at 6pm coming back.... really unpredictable.

Cheers
