One would need to standby a set of ear plugs if running on GSD3 :D

no need la... [laugh]

i really love the grip.. esp. on roads. initially i was skeptical that it was named best wet road tyre for like 3 years. but i made the choice try it. really impress with the grip. but the noise ah....[laugh]

Turbocharged

Currently I am using GY LS2000 215-55-17 which I have no complain at all as I paid $135 last year but now the price went up to $170@,

So I am considering these:

1) V12 ($154)

2) RE001 ($220)

3) GR90 ($230)

4) PS3 (anyone know the price?)

Which one should I go for???

17"F1 Assemtric - S$215 (Germany)

17" PS3 - S$270 (Thai)

Yr GR90 got so cheap meh? I thought 17"should be around S$280-290?

PS3 17" around $250 to $270 in SG

JB selling around RM480.

My advice is go PS3 if u want comfort, quietness, lasting and performance. No regrets.

Mine is MIT... abt 3000km travelled...So far noise level still the same as day 1.

Dont know how true is it but from michelin website they said there's no difference between MIT and MIG...

The workshop guys also tell me there's no difference.

I think there shouldnt be any difference since material and thread design is the same.

Just difference manufacturing grounds.

my colleagues was pointing out to me that the selling price of tyres in Jb is cheaper but if we add the cost for rotation, tyre patching etc. it might be more expensive coz unlikely we will travel to jb just to rotate tyre etc. esp when in spore the tyre shops usually offer them free when we get tyres fr them.

wat you guys think?

i cant comment on thai PS3 but i can comment on hungarian PS3.

performance is much better than CSC3 and P Zero Rosso.

More quiet and comfortable sidewall not as hard.

To the bro that said PS3 cannot match PS3 performance

I would advise him to look at this chart

PS3 performance > PS2 performance

pilotsport2vspilotsport3.png

The PS3 is a superior tyre in nearly all aspects

Can try maxxis i-pro victra UHP, Traction = AA, Tread wear = 240. It is quiet Ultra performance tire, near to some comfort tire like continental comfort, much quiet than Goodyear NCT 5 and michelin pilot preceda 2 . Cheap compare to all big brand, I ever use it to perform the high speed slalom (>140km/h)in wet condition this tire still did a good job , superb in term of handling and steering feedback, side wall is not that hard, so far never skip in wet and dry.

Tread wear also quite good, i think can last 40000km to 50000km. MIT

treadwear 240 if you run for 40-50k you are a hero

V12 and PS3 should have better drainage than 595evo. PS3 cost about 40-50% more than V12 and 595evo.

595evo got the shortest life among the 3. mine are nearing end of life. used for 8mth only. i don't think it's noisy at all. grippy dry and wet, but WILL aquaplane whenever hits puddle. for that reason i won't buy again.

PS3 is a new model recently launched to replace the PS2 and PP2.

PP2 phasing out already. I think u can forget abt it and just go for PS3.

No regrets with PS3 since I changed over from my Yokos DB ES501 that lasted me 60k(2yrs)

You can check out the sizes here: http://www.michelin.com.sg/tyre/patterndet...Car/pilotsport3

Check yr PM for the shop name and address.

Thanks again bro.

Btw, is ps3 a semi-slick tire?

If its semi-slick, i wud prefer to get pp2 then.

I do the calculation for you bro....

If i bought my PS3 from SG it would cost me $250 X 4 = $1000

in JB it cost me RM480 = SGD$208 X 4 = $832

$1000 - $832 = $168(Savings).

Balancing and rotation cost $10-20.

Lets say we take $20 and balancing and rotation every 10000km.

$168/20 = 8.4

8.4 times = 84000km.

I think by 84000km you will need to replace the tyres already.
